I am proud of Tyreek Hill though in how hard he works at every phase of the game and seems to be doing the same with his life. I do believe that people can screw up mightily when they're 20 years old, serve a deserved punishment for it, and not be labeled a ****ty person for the rest of their natural life.
Some of you seem to enjoy sneering at the concept of "redemption". But in doing so you're basically taking the opposite position - that no one can ever recover from something like what Hill did in a fit of anger and be considered a decent person. That's a pretty depressing worldview imo.
So much this. And the phenomenon of being forever judged for your worst moment seems to be increasing in modern American society, no matter what steps have been taken to apologize, improve yourself, whatever. And contrast Hill, who has made amends and improved himself and his character, to a repeated, flagrant, and unapologetic cheater like Tom Brady. The difference is stark.
