Yea imo more finger pointing needs to be done at the higher ups.

Michael Scott was a terrible boss but Dunder Mifflin were morons to higher him and keep him.

Firing Hue to hire Mike is like, why even bother? Not worth the effort and paperwork.

Maybe not this particular example but the point stands. Stop hiring known morons.

Gruden seems fine as a coach, but unloading your two best players reeks of an ego problem requiring a strong GM. Mayock is not that guy.

Hiring whomever Chucky tells him to hire.

Will be interesting to see how Mayock meshes w Razzano.....and if they draft a QB.

Sure wish they found a way to stay in the East Bay but the circus will be fun to watch, especially if they start winning.

Who all is out? I've got Bowles, Koetter, Lewis, Gase, Wilks, Joseph. (And then you got the interim guys in Green Bay and Cleveland.)

Obviously Marvin should've been fired years ago, but it's a clear sign of bad ownership with the one year that he really didn't do anything wrong (except hire HUE and maybe the d-coordinator) that he gets fired. Bengals played above expectations and actually were fairly competitive at the end with all the injuries.

Which HC jobs are the most desirable?! Here's is how I would rank them:

1. Green Bay
2. Cincinnati (most loyal owner in the league)

GAP

3. Cleveland (dysfunctional owner, but has everything else)
4. Tampa
5. Arizona

GAP

6. Jets
7. Dolphins
8. Denver (worst ownership situation)

Mike Brown is the idiot son who inherits the car dealership.

The industry is so legally protected that he's guaranteed to continue printing money, but nobody good will ever work for him.

GB - Rodgers, only have to be quasi-competent to appear awesome.
Ari - Nice weather, low expectations, some solid pieces.
Cle - Best actual players. Buuuuut, it's in Cleveland.
TB - Nice weather, near the beach. Lower cost of living than Miami. Some good players. No state income tax.
Mia - Nice weather, but pretty dysfunctional. No state income tax.
Cin - Bad weather. Roster/spending caps you at mediocrity. Very patient ownership, though.
Den - Bad team, not great weather, have to work for Elway. Good skiing, though.
Jets - Bad weather, expensive cost of living, but Darnold is pretty good. The biggest problem is you're almost never lasting more than a couple years because the GM will get fired & the new GM will want to bring in his guy cuz hey, it's not like you won too many games with those awful players anyway.

I'd rank them:

1. Cleveland: There's a lot of talent on the roster. You have a good young QB, RB, and TE to build an offense around as well as DE and CB with Garrett/Ward. The other bonus is that the team has been so bad for so long that there's a lot of margin for error. The division isn't anything terrifying in the long run: Ben has discussed retirement over the last few years, Cincy might hire Hue, and people are skeptical on Lamar long term. It's not a cakewalk or anything, but it's possible to win that division a few years in a row.

2. GB: You get Godgers. Can't really do better than that. You better deliver though because the expectations are high. The division is tough the next few years too. Chicago looks entirely legit and Minnesota has a stacked roster.

3. Jets: From here on out there's a lot of problems with everyone. I put the Jets at 3 because they are the one with the QB already. No need to search. Darnold was fine. The division is a disaster if you can step up. Miami and Buffalo are in shambles and Brady has to retire at some point right? You get Roddy, Herndon, and Darnold to build around offensively.

4. Miami: Same divisional perks as the Jets but without having your QB. Is problem. Lots of talent though.

5. Arizona: You have Rosen and the #1 pick. You also share a division with the Rams and Seahawks so realistically you're playing for a wild card for the next 3 years. Division being much worse puts it behind Miami imo.

6. Cincy: Your QB is Dalton. Your team is dysfunctional and sloppy. You do have Mixon, Green, and Boyd though. Suddenly Cleveland is good and that hurts. So while Miami and NYJ just have to wait out Brady in a year or two, you have to do that with Ben and THEN deal with Baker for years. Just a tough spot. Plus, your owner sucks and won't give you the money to do what you want to do. I think he refused an indoor practice facility in ohio? Yikes.

7. Tampa: You either don't have a QB or you have Winston. I'm not sure which is worse. Your defense is atrocious. You share a division with teams that have a lot of talent in NO/Atl/Car. You have Evans and ... well that's really it. Barber/Godwin/Humph are ok but nothing special. Either you're rolling with Winston as an INT machine and paying him buckets of money to do it or you're starting from scratch. It's garbage.

8. Denver: You're looking up at Mahomes for the next 4-8 years. You traded away your best WR. Your best player was an UDFA. Unreasonable expectations from the FO after years of PEYTON. Wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole.

GB job is overrated. Rodgers is GOATish but 35, they have nothing else though. If you go to GB and win there will be no long term planning and if you succeed it will be viewed as due to Rodgers, and after he's gone you will be way behind the ball and have very little shot at keeping your job without a lot going right. Browns are clearly on the up & up, all you have to do is not **** it up and you can be around a long time contending.
