I really don't follow the NFL off-season much, can someone give me cliffs on how the Bills went from a perfectly average seeming team to WOAT contender in one off-season? It can't just be swapping Tyrod for a draft just and 5 INT Peterman

Why the Chiefs so low on people's lists? Just because of the D?

Plus losing line depth. But Tyrod is a league average QB. Peterman is a not at replacement level QB. That's a pretty yawning difference that most teams in the league would fail to surmount.

Bills weren't actually good last year. Were outscored by 57 points, which gave an expected 6.4 wins.

I agree with top 9 I think. But would put chargers at 10. Chiefs were expected to have a horrible defense and they do. Saints were no expected to be horrible on D so I do expect some positive regression there. Also no chance Mahomes keeps this up.

I would likely put Packers ahead of Falcons and maybe Steelers as well.

HOFers asking for 300k/year. Good luck with that. While I love me some Jerry Rice/Joe Montana, I don't think they move the needle that much that the NFL would cave.

Jumped it ages ago. Seemed like they quit trying after Prince GOATed it up.

A good halftime show is the exception, not the norm.

maroon 5 seems like a good choice honestly. doesn't make any waves, appeals to a wide range of people. super popular. their main song has 2.7 BILLION views on youtube. main guy is on a popular tv show.. not much more you can ask for from the nfl's perspective.

Women love that dude and want to bang him; halftime is obviously not about making 2+2eds happy.

The Super Bowl is in Atlanta; someone with a connection to Atlanta would've been cool. I mean, **** it, just do the Hip-Hop Legends Playing Cops On TV Now All-Stars if you need to go as mainstream as possible.

We had a good run from 2006-10 (Stones, Prince, Tom Petty, Bruce, The Who) but it's over Johnny.

That's what my list was about too. I gave like 75% consideration as to how objectively good I think the team is and 25% to how they've looked after 2 games.

Power rankings are partially about giving extra meaning to small sample sizes imo, otherwise it's just a straight list of teams that will remain really static throughout the year and that's no fun.

Outkast one time, although I guess those guys are almost as old as the Rolling Stones and might break a hip onstage.

What's the benefit of the drop kick? Seems like a fancy play with a high downside at first glance.

My favorite part of this story is that the guy's excuse is "I thought it was a private post"

I like how he says it's totally not racist, just voicing the fact that black quarterbacks have had limited success in the NFL.

Plus that was the most inept decision he's ever seen...which means he couldn'tt have seen more than 2 or 3 NFL games in his life.

He must have quit watching the Texans after Matt Schaub's arm fell off

Let's see what Smiff did with almost the same offense in week 2 last year:

Just lol - that's painful to look at.

Here's this year's Smiff:

A little better. Longest pass is I'm guessing that dialed up bomb, clearly decided presnap, that he usually throws in the first drive of Q3.

Yeah found it on game pass. Looked like a pretty dialed up play-action bomb. Could have been a read though.

The problem is Smiff just doesn't trust his accuracy over 10 yards. Some games he'll start out on fire, then make one off-line throw, then he just turtles up the rest of the game. It's like me playing tennis when I can't get my forehand over. I just start dinking and doinking it.

Stolen from chiefsplanet - lol.

WOPR should be Mahomes' nickname. Offense is DEFCON 1.

I assume it gets more hang time than a kickoff, giving the coverage team time to get down there and hold them to worse field position than a touch back.
