we'll see what a "great" coach Tomlin is - he sucks at in-game strategy, so let's see how well he can deal with the AB situation

Seems to be spot on for the first 2 and the last 2. But that middle 28 is where I have more than a few problems.

The Browns defence is actually pretty reasonable as well.

It is probably a little on the high side, but I think they would still be favourites or close to it for the division.
But then you have the guy that lit up the Aints and Eagles at 17

Little one-liner followed up by not posting rankings of your own or expanding on why you think his list is bad. SMH.

I thought his tiers were ok but I moved things a bunch within the tiers. I got:

1. Rams
2. Vikings
3. Jags (three best defenses)
4. Chiefs
5. Eagles
6. Pats

7. Pack (probably like ~19 without Godgers)
8. Falcons
9. Saints (have struggled but still a quality team)
10. Bengals (solid/underrated team on both sides of the ball)
11. Chargers

12. Steelers
13. Ravens
14. Bucs (two highly impressive games but Fitzmagic always has random awesome stretches before regression)
15. 9ers
16. Broncos
17. Panthers

18. Dolphins
19. Bears
20. Colts (I'm a homer but I really like some of the new guys on both sides, Darius Leonard and Eric Ebron)
21. Skins
22. Texans
23. Lions
24. Cowboys

25. Seahawks
26. Titans
27. Browns
28. Raiders
29. Giants
30. Jets

31. Cardinals
32. Bills (Cards and Bills drawing live to be historically bad)

biggest changes were Cin +5, Stillers -4, Det -4. I think the Steelers have more top-end talent than Cincy but the organization as a whole appears to be a mess.

Some weird stuff, is this assuming bell is back? And Gordon and Edelman are back for the pats.

Moss took a huge paycut and agreed to take a 1 year $3 million contract to help facilitate a deal to get out of Oakland in '07. Favre badly wanted the Packers to go for it. Packers were in on it but insisted Randy take a 2 year deal because 'they refused to be used by a player.' Pats obviously were okay with 'being used' by a HOF player trying to reshape his value.

Randy-less '07 Packers still made it to a home NFCCG game. The following year Moss was a free agent for a very brief time (1 day on the market or w/e). After signing again with the Patriots, Favre retired 2 days later.

So far the saints D has been worse than every team in the league. Yes, even KC.

Colts +6 lock of the week. Their D swarmed last week( albeit against a pathetic, one-dimensional offense). Frank Reich knows the Eagles as well as anybody. Wentz has 1 WR, and he'll be rusty.

lol Steelers at 7. The team is in total disarray.

Yeah, I have a real problem putting a winless team in the top 10. I can easily see at least half of that top 10 not making the playoffs.

Well considering performance ranking is currently bottom 5 where they lost to bucs, needed a kicker to go full browns or they would've lost to the browns. Both of those were home games. It's really hard to rank them in the top 10 atm by any metric. If Mike Thomas gets hurt that team is just plain garbage and they've got Drew Brees. (before someone chimes in with you could say that about *insert QB* notice I mentioned a non QB, which I don't think there's any other team in the league that appears as boned as the Saints if some non QB got hurt).

21st by DVOA. And the Bucs lighting up that Eagles defense too makes New Orleans look a little less bad in hindsight. (Coaching matters, and the great irony of Tampa is that they fired Lovie Smith so Dirk Koetter wouldn't leave, when they should probably now fire Koetter so they can promote Todd Monken from OC to HC.)

Also have crazy bad fumble luck so far-- the Saints and their opponents have each fumbled four times, and their opponents have recovered all of them.

But yeah, if you had a team in your top 5 or whatever going into the season you probably shouldn't put them in the bottom half of the league after two games.

ash12 rankings a combination of preseason expectations/thoughts as well as performance so far.

Plus an attempt to get something resembling a discussion going to resuscitate an otherwise relatively dead forum.

Always a good sign when half say Saints too low and half Saints too high.
