7th, 27th, and 30th ranked defenses by DVOA.

Pitt at 16th stands a good shot at slowing Drew.

Man I wish Miami was good enough one year that I could get my jimmies rustled about if my division leading, bye having, likely HFA having QB should win MVP instead of the QB of the division leading, bye having, likely HFA having QB in the other conference.

Maybe if scumbag Nick Saban would have signed Brees instead of trading for Culpepper I'd know what that was like

Also averaging 10 points a game more at home.

I think if the Saints line is healthy, the Steelers secondary doesn't stand a chance. I thought Armstead would be back by now though so who knows.

imho right now the MVP voting goes

Brees
Mahomes
Rivers

if Saints win out, Brees will win

I also have....

OPY Julio
DPY Donald
ORY Barkley
DRY James
CPOY is close but I think I give it to Luck over Watt

COY will be Nagy, albeit Andy Reid has been incredible and Frank Reich has also been vvg
I'd give Chris Ballard Exec of the Year but I have no idea how those criteria work

0-for-7 on picks today, 0-for-10 if you count three losing sides on super long shot to win AFC bets. That's not easy, 0-for-10. LOL. But this was after 3 weak real heater. I actually blew back to where I'm +$1 on account.

What I'm doing with the AFC long shot thing is thinking some real long shot is going to win it. In that vein, throwing out New Eng and KC and taking some staggering numbers on teams like Indy, Balt, Denver, Miami, Pitt to win AFC. (I guess if I really wanted staggering I should have taken Cleveland.) But anybody agree with this tack regarding AFC???

Case can be made for Rivers. Mahomes is still the favorite. lol at saying Brees is ahead now. He and Goff have played themselves way out of the discussion as of late.

Packers also made a similar offer as the Bears. The reports were that the Raiders thought the Bears would have the worst record or that the Bears simply made their offer first and the Raiders accepted without looking at other offers, since they never tried to get either the 49ers or Packers to up their offers.

Mahomes is clearly the best player the league so far this year. He's still #1 in like every QB metric. You can make an argument that the MVP should go to the most important player, but anything else is just recency bias.

pretty interesting - for some reason their is a narrative that Ryan is having a bad/off year

Steelers actually match up ok againt the Saints because they have one good CB who can shadow Thomas and the rest of the Saints receiving options aren't elite. Kamara will be a problem though

Edit: Mahomes obvious MVP

I don't see any reason to have Rivers over Mahomes for MVP

Disagreeing with Skip Bayless is a good thing.

Mahomes not getting the MVP would be on par with Mark Moseley getting it during the labor strike season.
