Saints dump Stephone Anthony on the Dolphins. Good thing we traded Jimmy Graham for that draft pick.

wut. can i get Indy +10.5 on the condition luck plays?

LOL Seattle's offense has like 20 pts this season. They shouldn't be that big a favorite over anyone if they can't score.

I read a decent amount about survivor pool game theory recently.

Obviously it varies by slate but I think the best strategy for large fields (think 600-800ish) is basically try to take these chalk plays early on and hope to make some pivot/leverage off the chalk plays later on.

Besides the best teams in the league, you don't get too many big spreads early in the year (Bills week 1 vs Jets an exception so I took them as well) but late in the year tons of stuff like injuries and teams just falling apart happens so mid-level teams can be bigger favs over bad teams.

i thought the obvious strat was to pick away from the herd

Well when you've got these teams that are -800 and much bigger favs to win than the pivot teams then I think you wanna pick them and hope the field purges itself, hope people take random teams and the field cuts down a little. Oakland last week and NE this upcoming week fitting that bill. Obviously somewhat depends on how sharp you think the field is as well.

But like week 1 going say the Rams at 5% picked and 70% win probability vs Bills at 50% owned and 77% probability is the right move.

It's incredible the # of lose/lose trades the NFL has isn't it?

Up to 2 can be flexed between weeks 5-10 and seems like unlimited after that. Seems pretty stupid not to if they are freebies considering week 7 is Pats Falcons, Week 8 is Lions and Steelers which looks like it could be a good game, week 9 is Raiders at Dolphins, so depends on if the Dolphins suck or not (Cowboys Chiefs play in the afternoon, so definitely one that could be flexed) and week 10 is Pats Broncos.

Obvious choice seems to be week 5 move Cowboys Packers to night and week 6 move Chiefs Steelers. Week 8 seems pretty safe. Only risk is week 9.

Just saw a stat that the ravens defense currently has only 1 less "reception" than all their WRs.

Yup, 8 INTs for the D vs. 9 receptions for their WR corps. Their pass D has been stifling through the first two games and they get Jax this weekend.

I don't know anybody in my local area who has kids in football anymore. Soon, that group will be in high school, then college, then the pros. The game is going to die completely unless things change, And quickly.

So is his daughter, so will his parents and so will the family of his murder victim. This **** is going to continue to get exponentially expensive for the NFL

master, what is your proposed solution?

any sport that allows meaningful contact will result in CTE to many of its participants. It happens in action sports, rugby, soccer, etc. as well. Its just most publicized in the US in connection to the NFL.

How can they prove it didn't occur because of HS or college ball. Guess they are hoping to get paid to go away.

The high schools, colleges, and gangs weren't multi-billion dollar organizations with a history of suppressing and concealing information and research into the issue.

Right? I find it bizarre how many people immediately ran to the NFL's side when they heard about a CTE lawsuit.
