no reason not to keep both keenum and teddy. there is a clearly a shortage of good qbs in the league and you should never part with 1 unless you get insane value.

Edit - the only coaches you can even begin to make an argument for being ahead of zimmer are bb, Payton, McVey, Pedersen, Arians. Maybe Shannahan if you do some projecting.

Yeah I'd say Zimmer is good with the huge caveat that almost all coaches are terrible and he's one of the better ones of a terrible group

don't know what zimmer did wrong this game?

thought the 4th & 1 on own 30 was a pretty smart, aggressive call where they pretended to draw offside and then sneak when defense lets their guard down, just blown up by the false start.

they weren't given enough time to evaluate slomo replay of the fumble so challenging made sense given how close it looked in real time and how pivotal a reversal would've been

think the run : pass ratio was way too conservative as usual but that's just lol-nfl and afaik zim doesn't call offensive plays

So is Teddy a free agent after this season or not?

Think most people were just hating on the challenge but with det hurrying to the line and the stadium not showing replay its a tough spot. Given the D sorta needed a TO anyway idk how bad it can be.

yeah, but i'm pretty sure "the Cowboys best defensive player, the injured Sean Lee" is his full name given how often i hear it during games

Man, lucky for Dallas that running backs are completely fungible and easily replaceable

i think their defense letting rivers go 27/33 for 430 yds was somewhat more of an issue than the approx 10 yards they missed out on through zeke's suspension

quietly, Larry Fitzgerald is now 5th on the all time receiving yards list and could (even vs Jax) get to 4th this week, with a small chance of catching TO for 2nd by the end of the season and still be nearly 7000 yards behind Jerry Rice.

He did come into the league a year early based off of some technicality that his HS vocational school or something counted as a college year.

5 of the last 6 games Marvin Jones has broken 17.5 fantasy points (FACK dynasty league scoring).

Dez Bryant has yet to break 17.5 once this season.

are jerry rice's stats the most impenetrable in modern sports?

Given the rise in passing/scoring in the NFL I don't think so. It'd take a guy playing until he's 40 to get close, but I'd bet within the next 3 decades somebody at least gets within 2k yards of Jerry Rice's career total.

Gonna throw a wrench into this Teddy/Keenum discussion and say that if I'm Kirk Cousins, I'm going to the Vikings. Good defense, up and coming elite receivers and RB (assuming Cook comes back) and a retooled OL.

The one game he didn't was vs the Browns as well. Go figure.

McCourty has been an elite CB this year but I assume that is just the rest of the Browns being so bad that it is too appetizing to throw elsewhere to even bother targeting guys he is covering rather than a Patrick Peterson type of situation.

so within 30 years someone while come within 10% of his record? sounds pretty unreachable compared to most other career records.

His receptions and TD numbers are similarly out there. Moss is 2nd all-time in receiving TDs and you'd have to add Julio Jones' career to date to Moss' to get the same number of TDs as Rice had in his career.

assuming most baseball pitching ones aren't "modern" which is fair

Could they even afford Kirk? Seems like a luxury for them when keenum is doing a solid job and a healthy teddy is still a solid asset. Yes it would be an upgrade, but if I’m the Vikings, I’d rather spend my value on other positions.

A few records won’t be broken. Most of baseball pitching records due to how the game has changed (but most aren’t modern) and many of wilts season averages (ppg especially and rpg) due to how the game has changed. No one will touch piston petes scoring records in college. Emmitts rushing record is going to be tough to beat in the new nfl, frank gore is almost 5k yards behind.

Triples record is most unreachable because they used to play without fences.

Nobody is catching Emmitt Smith for career rushing yards.

we laugh at NFL head coaches

Marc Trestman went back to the CFL and won coach of the year again and is playing for a grey cup (though his team is like 10-9).

so yes, they could all be significantly worse like the CFL.
