How much money is he going to get paid now? IIRC, GB gave him a lot. But I never learned how these things work once you're on waivers (or if it's player-specific in his case).

Bennett's packers contract was 3yr/21mil, with 6.3mil as a signing bonus as the guaranteed $. Bennett's cap # on the Packers this year was 3.85m so his base salary is 1.75m (2.1m is a third of the signing bonus on the cap). Packers eat the $4.2m left in signing bonus as dead money on the 2018 cap.

Patriots have 8 games left in the season so I think Bennett is $875k on their cap for this year. His base salary next year is $6.45 million

Ah I see now. Forgot about roster/workout bonuses being part of it, that's what I get for looking at overthecap on the phone & being too simplistic.

Great deal for the Pats since he's played for them. If he turns out to be useless it's a sub 500k cap hit for his guaranteed base salary.

Eagles extend Jernigan for 4 years $48M, $26M guaranteed. He's been great, but I didn't think they had room. Maybe they aren't going to keep Alshon etc? If anyone who understands cap stuff has any insight, I'd appreciate it. Is it basically easy enough to move money around that it doesn't matter?

the funny part is I don't think there are many fans who love TNF and a lot more who don't or who are indifferent. I always thought a Sat night might be better - seems to work for college
