Bennett's packers contract was 3yr/21mil, with 6.3mil as a signing bonus as the guaranteed $. Bennett's cap # on the Packers this year was 3.85m so his base salary is 1.75m (2.1m is a third of the signing bonus on the cap). Packers eat the $4.2m left in signing bonus as dead money on the 2018 cap.

Patriots have 8 games left in the season so I think Bennett is $875k on their cap for this year. His base salary next year is $6.45 million

It's $739k this year for the Pats.

Ah I see now. Forgot about roster/workout bonuses being part of it, that's what I get for looking at overthecap on the phone & being too simplistic.

Great deal for the Pats since he's played for them. If he turns out to be useless it's a sub 500k cap hit for his guaranteed base salary.

Yeah, I was going to explain the error, but also on my phone so I figured I'd just let you check it out.

Eagles extend Jernigan for 4 years $48M, $26M guaranteed. He's been great, but I didn't think they had room. Maybe they aren't going to keep Alshon etc? If anyone who understands cap stuff has any insight, I'd appreciate it. Is it basically easy enough to move money around that it doesn't matter?

They can either convert base pay into signing bonus to kick hits down the road, or cut some people. Looks like $4.4m of Kendricks $ is a good place to start there.

Here's the list if you want to look through some of their other options:

Thank you. Foles being a 7.6M hit seems bad.

Jernigan's guaranteed money is likely a near 50/50 split of Signing Bonus and GTD 2018/2019 salaries.

Possibly career ending. That's a bad injury for a CB and he's not a young kid anymore.

Got in trouble for a rant after a TNF game about three years ago as well.

the funny part is I don't think there are many fans who love TNF and a lot more who don't or who are indifferent. I always thought a Sat night might be better - seems to work for college

I think competing with college on Sat would be better overall than having Thurs to yourself.
