Didn't watch too many Johnny football (Browns) games but I can tell you he's better than Scott Tolzien.

If Johnny Football was white he would have an NFL job.

I have an idea to increase NFL TV revenue.

Rather than a bye week, for 7 games a year, teams have eight days between games. Teams have seven days between all other games. (Or if it made scheduling easier, 9 games on eight days, 5 games on seven days, and 2 games on six days.)

Season has a staggered start, so you end up with NFL games on TV every day of the week.

Scheduling would be a challenge, but I assume it would be mathematically possible. This also has the benefit of ensuring that no team ever plays on a super short Sunday/Thursday schedule, which I'm sure the players hate.

Would this work?

Well you'd probably have to rule out Fridays because half the audience will be watching their children concuss themselves live and also Saturdays because you'd be splitting the audience with CFB, so now you're down to five days.

Are you high? I don't want football on every damn day!

I like most games on Sunday - it's awesome that way.

Sunday football is great. Thursday football is already lame. Monday is fine but the games used to be much better when Monday was the premier football night. Yeah I can't imagine having football every day. We have football most days, between college and pros. NFL doesn't want to cannibalize it's minor league system in college football.

The NFL needs to focus on maintaining the audience they have right now rather than increasing revenue anyway. I get trying to maximize will all those years of growth but a big drop people are doing more than just complaining about commercials and prices etc

Is anyone saying that? I feel like most people think they both suck. I think they're both pretty good; I thought I was just about the only one.

That wasn't just a lolSaints thing either; Bradford was dropping ridiculously accurate dimes deep downfield that nobody could have covered.
May I interest you in a gentleman's wager as to Mr. Bradford?

Man I'd go into depression if Sunday didn't have 7-10 games. Crazy talk.

Yeah even the late schedule on Redzone is a massive downer

Yeah my attention span needs 7-8 games on at that 1pm time slot, then 3-5 more in the late slot.

RedZone is the way to go now.

I wouldn't mind 4-tabling NFL at four different time slots.

Sun AM/PM
Mon PM
Th PM

So Josh Gordan is about to complete a rehab stint that "might" bring him back. This guy, one of the most talented young players in the league, has missed 2 effin seasons of his prime because of weed. I mean, we ***** about 4, 6 games, etc., but he's missed seasons. How? Who is working for him? smdh.

Yeah, shove the Thursday games back to Sunday. It will fill up the late RedZone slate a little, or the one or two decent plays that happen in Thursday games will replace a couple of field goals from the other games during RZ.

What you are suggesting is illegal (at least for what matters in terms of revenue). The NFL would love to have Friday and Saturday games every week, but they couldn't televise them if they did (might not even be allowed to have games on these days, period.)

This would also be stupid as hell since many people already don't want football on other days than Sunday, and the NFL would have to compete with the fall TV season.

Why not? I already lost one last year, there's no reason we can't tee this one up again.

I think the fact that you compared a guy who went to a Super Bowl to a guy who drank his way out of the league after eight starts like they're basically the same player says a lot.

kaep has to be better than a handful of qb right now, I mean, look at Palmer, Tolzien, Hoyer, Goff, McCown, Cutler, and Bortles. Kaep isnt anything special but he could be a contende rfor the starting role at most of those teams.

So much this. Kaep's play didn't fall off the cliff until the 49ers blew up the team. Even the much maligned Sam Bradford looks like a decent player once he got himself into a reasonable situation.

I think Brady and Manning have spoiled fans and they now expect any "good" QB to perpetually be able to drag rosters filled with middling talent to 10+ win seasons and deep playoff runs. For everyone but the GOATs being surrounded with nothing but replacement level players is a recipe for disaster.

As a player he's certainly not without his warts, but he'd be an instant upgrade at QB for at least a few teams, like Jacksonville, which are dark horses to playoff.

How does he practice/keep in shape. When was his last competitive game. I think it's a bit optimistic that he could just walz in and be better than even a Bortles. After a while sure but plug in now...maybe.

That's the other side of it. He looks markedly less athletic then he did a few years ago, and when this whole saga began I sincerely thought he was no longer interested in playing and was trying to get himself cut. We obviously are not privy to any of the discussions his agent(s) have had with teams, so we have no idea what the asking price was, etc.

Trying to deny that he's better than at least half a dozen starters and almost every back up, however, is idiocy.
