I dunno if there are many people on 2+2 in their early 20s, period, let alone it be the average age.

Really interested in week 4. So many teams weren't what they seemed in week 3 and I'm keen to see how the teams back up from last week

same. I figured Denver was due to lose one of the two games last week or this week vs Raiders. I feel better that they lost to Buffalo as I think they will really be on their best against their biggest rival. Buffalo isn't really that bad so on the road its not a horrible loss. However, Raiders are coming off an embarrassing loss themselves so who knows? I really don't think the Raiders are that great of a team, ran way above expectation last year and are more like a borderline wildcard team. Denver if they win tomorrow will solidify themselves as the team to challenge the Chiefs. Ironically, I feel slightly better with our defense against the Chiefs than against the Raiders.

I see the comparison with Cutler and Favre but no, no, no no no no. If Favre came into the league 10 years ago he'd be comparable to Brees I feel like. Brees makes some bonehead mistakes trying to thread balls into double coverage and such but the game is a lot different now and Favre would be throwing 45 times a game and would put up similar numbers as Brees does now. Also, to add those two are neither athletes and not very tall at all. They are both "gunslingers" if you want to go that route.

edit: and even if Luck was healthy, why isn't the Broncos Raiders game SNF? Without looking at the schedule I can't remember if they are already slated to play SNF against one another but thats a perfect matchup knowing both teams were going to be good this year. The Colts even with Luck were not expected to be much better than mediocre. Just not really that interesting a matchup. At least its not the ****ing Steelers Ravens....their games are always so God damn boring

BTW, maybe we can get to the bottom of the age thing. I agree with Nath that SE is filled with regs who registered probably in their early to mid 20s at best and are now well into their 30s and possibly early 40s.

I'm 32

Favre entering the league these days would be better described as a slightly shorter Andrew Luck with a much stronger arm and incredible durability. He's 6'2" and until today I'd never seen him described as an unathletic midget like Brees. He was a very good athlete at QB in his prime and when he was originally recruited by Southern Miss they supposedly wanted him to play defensive back.

Honestly the best way to describe him might be Johnny Football with a couple more inches of height, a rocket arm, and plenty of NFL game. He was sooo fun to watch even though I hated the Packers and I'll forever be mad at the Falcons for trading him.

Andrew Luck to the Pats for Jimmy, Butler and a 2018 #1.

Does either side go for it?

If the Colts go for it then they know something bad about Luck's shoulder. I can't imagine he'd pass the physical for the Patriots if so.

Your Daily Dolphin: Byron Maxwell hurt his hammy in warmups and is ruled out in London because of course he did

It's weird how much worse the Dolphins offense looks after losing Ryan Tannehill, since I have it on good authority he is not even as good a quarterback as Matt Moore

Gase gotta play his boys.

Moore is better than Tannehill. Also to be fair the Dolphins had a hurricane week 1. @LA week 2, @NY week 3 and their home opener @ London week 4

If Matt Moore was the one playing you might have something there.

Dolphins prob this year is they've got a good D-Line, good receivers, and huge holes everywhere else.

I know they made the playoffs last year, but they were a mediocre team that ran above expectation.

How much, if any, do you contribute that to coaching?

Where do you rate Jay Cutler vs. Matt Moore? Where does "a longtime backup in the league" rate for you in general, and do you think Ryan Tannehill is worse than one?

Matt Moore has always seemed like one of the best back ups. I'd probably have him in the top echelon with Derek Anderson, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Jimmy and Matt Schaub

schaub started for years. He was traded for what? 2 seconds to be the "man". I too have kind of always would have liked to see Moore given a shot to start for a whole year and see what he could do. I just supposed there was a reason why this has never happened.

Moore started most games for the Dolphins in 2011 and had a better DYAR, DVOA and QBR than every one of Tannehill's seasons bar 2014

Last year Matt Moore 23.5ppg over 4 starts. This year Jay Cutler 25 points over 3 games including a td w 6 seconds left in a game they were down 20-0. All hail Adam Gase.

Gase almost definitely a good coach. Just not a good enough coach to win with mentally retired Cutty.

What evidence do you have that he is a good coach? He was the offensive coordinator for two years for Peyton Manning and one year for Jay Cutler that the bears went 6-10. He is Joe Philbin 2.0.
