Right, so they're rested. Mostly healthy. Even w/o Berry this is the healthiest they've been going into the playoffs in the Reid era. Reid after a bye is 20-4. Arrowhead is worth a few points in crowd noise. The Colts run almost entirely cover 2, which Mahomie has eviscerated. Defense has allowed 10 fewer PPG at home.

By all rights the Chiefs should be about 75+% to win.

But of course the weight of history...

The Chiefs are decent favourites for a reason, as good as the Colts have been they have to keep up with Mahomes in Arrowhead which is a tall order. It'll be close either way - if it was IND +7 I'd be lumping on, as is I'm only on them for a bit.

The emergence of Mack hasn't been talked about enough - he's getting the ball almost 30 times per game lately which would have been unfeasible last season

The only playoff team the Chiefs played and didn't lose to was Baltimore. They lost to NE. They lost to LAR. They lost to Seattle. They lost to LAC more recently than they beat LAC.

The win % of the opponents that they beat was 38%.

They "limped" into the playoffs as their last 6 games was lose to LAR, beat Oak, beat Balt at home in OT, lose to LAC, lose to Sea, beat Oak.

It doesn't mean KC shouldn't be favored or anything and they certainly can crush Indy. It just means I understand the logic of the people that are picking Indy. Hopefully it's a good game.

Anyway 41-38 my final prediction idk why anyone would think either team will be able to stop the other the chiefs defense is horrendous and the colts have played the easiest defensive schedule of the last 3 years I would be shocked if Mahomes doesn’t score 35. He does start slow sometimes tho and I’m afraid he might be a little too amped up. He’s missed some bad throws early. Think whoever luckboxes some turnovers will win. Gonna go with the chiefs with maybe some dave toub special teams magic
