Starting to snow here in kc right now. Weather people seem to be indicating a lot of uncertainty with various models predicting different things but maybe 4-6 inches over next 20 hours or so seems to be the median projection with some uncertainty as to how many hours before game time it will stop. I think weather is usually overrated as a factor though as long as it’s not that windy

I’m getting pretty nervous for the game. Tickets are only like 60 bucks for cheap seats but I don’t think I can handle another live home playoff loss so I’ll probably pass. I think people want to get the home playoffs monkey off their back and then feel kind of like the chiefs are freerolling next week (weird to say as a team who would be at home and a favorite but that’s the sense I get. sports talk radio is entertaining right now)

I have no opinion on the spread in this game. I do have an opinion on Jason Garrett. You know what it is. Because he is sure to be an idiot in a close game, I like teasing the Rams with the Saints. Loyal readers will recall I advised a 3 team teaser last week, which cashed easily. Anyone who feels compelled to thank me for giving away $$$ can PM me for my PayPal.
If you've watched the Cowboys in the recent weeks, you'd see that Garett has been surprisingly un-idiotic in the past few games - correctly going for it on 4ths, not making dumb challenges, etc.

And more importantly, the Rams D gave up the highest YPC during the regular season of any team in football (5.1) while the Cowboys had the 2nd most rushing YPG in football.

I don't know that the Cowboys win outright or anything, but I feel like DAL +7 is the side to be on.

Chiefs 31-20

Check out the colts schedule the last 10 games, VERY weak schedule. Chiefs on another level. I think this score even includes a garbage time TD for colts. Mahomes magic, he is the Stephen Curry of the NFL.

Rams 27-10

Rams route, maybe a 20-3 half 1 score. Another level of scheming talent on the rams side of the ball.

Patriots 24-13

The weather is a big deal. LA boys are going to FREEZE in this weather. Brady loves this, they coach for it. Lin said "we can't prepare for the snow". Really? No snow machines and way to make cold air in LA? Brady 12-0 in last 12 home games under 32 degrees. Rivers 1-4. Brady 7-0 vs Rivers.

Saints 31-23

BDN run comes to an end vs a historically great Saints team. The Saints have been sand bagging since they locked it all up. The league took a break during a game to celebrate Brees accomplishments....

SB: Chiefs/Rams goat game rematch (Reid/Pederson round 2 would be ok too)

Last ten games Chiefs have beaten the Ravens, Browns, Raiders x2, Broncos, Cards & Bengals. Not exactly murderers row. Colts have beaten the Texans in Houston twice, Titans twice and shut out the Cowboys.

Yeah, nobody playing more solid than Colts last 2 months. They could easily win it all as they basically have everything needed to win any kind of matchup.

Agree w/ this, if Cowboys can keep their intensity on D and dictate the pace with their O then this game should be close. I really don't get -7.5 some books have but apparently the action is strong enough on Rams side to warrant it. Stadium will probably be 50% Cowboys fans which will have some affect if the game goes in the wrong direction early for Rams.

Now that Clapping Chilly has won the division, the do-or-die pressure from above is off. He will now revert to his comfort zone. His in-game decisions could be quite ugly.

Be hilarious if it's Chargers/Colts in the AFC ship. Game would be played at the Stubhub Center soccer stadium. Will it even be a sellout? More Colts fans than Chargers fans? Doubt league will allow this, but it would be awesome.

I agree. I get why, they’ve been very good over the last 10 weeks, but it’s not like the Chiefs are limping into the playoffs here.

Basically zero reason Indy shouldn't roll into KC, hold PattyMa to 10 points while Luck thanks him for trying, earnestly tells him "good game" and reminds KC why the check under their beds for the Colts each night before the go to sleep.

That said, the Colts are in year 2 of a 3 year rebuild, and even though **** turns around fast in the NFL, they've got some decent sized holes, namely in the receiving corps and the secondary. TY is playing hurt, and has been for the 2nd half of the year. We're one twisted ankle away from Inman as the #1 Wideout. R. Kelly has missed a few games with a neck injury and he's set to play, but if he goes down, the running game isn't the same, and they'll need that to control the game.

Chiefs win this one, Colts have another good draft and spend that $120M and win 4 SBs in the next 6 years. **** Everyone.

Tyreek was fine the last game btw and should be fully healthy with 2 weeks off. Sammy Watkins is a huge unknown. The Chiefs will actually miss Dorian O'Daniel more than you'd expect. Berry would have been nice but they have to be used to playing w/o him at this point.

I'll be at a bar tomorrow instead of in a hotel room like last year. So my online meltdown will be a lot less dramatic. Sorry to disappoint.

I’m curious about that too.

Sources said that last month there were internal discussions about possibly playing Sunday night and Monday night championship games in the event both the Rams and Chargers hosted conference-title games, with both games being played at the Rams' Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

Yes - he's great after the catch and forced the defenses to worry about someone other than Hill and Kelce. If he's back it's a big big deal. I doubt he's 100% though.
