When you're up by 3 scores with 4 minutes left I'm ok with it.

Actually when you're up by 3 scores vs. a team that started the game with 4 straight 3-and-outs - I'm ok with it no matter how much time is left on the clock.

Up by 3 scores at Arrowhead vs. dink and dunk it's definitely better than risking any kind of turnover.

Although that said - that stupid sideways passing game they were doing vs. the Colts still resulted in a turnover. And so did a punt.

So yeah:

Pats fans already shook and game hasn't even started. Their SB was clearly last week as much as they beat their chest and shouted at everybody they aren't done.

Best part of the coverage of the first Chiefs pats game:

First half, Al Michaels: "Yeah as Bill Parcells used to say, let's not get the anointing oil out just yet" (about Mahomes)

3 minutes left, after Mahomes just tied it on a 75-yard bomb to Hill: "Even Bill Parcells might get the anointing oil out after that."

And then Collinsworth: "What the Patriots want to do here, is score a TD with no time left on the clock, and NEVER give it back to Patrick Mahomes until the playoffs."

Heh - the playoffs have arrived.

This is the song they should be playing in the Chiefs locker room before games (by local hero Tech9). He has a new Chiefs song - but this is the one.

Tech9, Krizz Kalico, and the rest of his crew are the guys left of Marlins man behind home plate in one of the greatest highlights in KC history. I just wish the cut stayed on them a little longer to see them go nuts when the ball went out. You can see his buddy start to do the Fred Sanford heart attack thing.

This isn’t true of most Pats fans. We realize KC is the better team and at home. Pats should be dogs.

lol @ last week. As much as Pats aren’t as good as recent years, they were a fluke lateral play in Miami away from the 1 seed. Win or lose, Pats will be a contender again next season.

There's one bad NE poster and 50 posters here just sprint in to **** on "all the bad NE posters" while simultaneously ignoring that's all they ever contribute and the mere existence of senorkeed

Also went from a solid "I'll be happy for suzzer if KC wins" to actively rooting against them. Whine more during the season of your lifetime dude.

If the Pats actually show up tomorrow it should be a close game. If they actually show up.

I think there's a 75% chance we win tomorrow. Is that too confident?

This is clearly false. Reading comprehension is hard.

Seems like the Chiefs fans are more nervous than Pats fans. And I get it...you’re the favorite, at home, and have a long history of coming up short.

I just can't wait to hear about how the Pats shocked the world if they win tomorrow. The 2007 Giants will have nothing on this plucky group of underdogs.

Not gonna argue with that. It's always tough for the young upstart to break through that barrier vs. the aging dynasty, especially when the upstart has a history of failing in big games. That seems to be the most common rationale of all the pundits picking the Pats this week - it's Brady and BB, how can you bet against them?

I was a huge Cowboys fan as a kid (because of my stepdad), and The Catch destroyed my world. That was a dynasty-ender that began a new one.

Here's hoping Brady has his YA Tittle moment tomorrow:

Anyway. I love my Chiefs and I hope they pull it out tomorrow. I've been through 5 wins and 15 losses in the playoffs. About 10 of the losses have names that every Chiefs fan knows by heart. So we're a little sensitive on that front.

But if we lose - we still got Mahomes. I'll be there next year rooting for better fortunes. Sports.

FWIW here's an amazing article about the game that ended the Chiefs original dynasty, which probably no one on this forum remembers.

But a surprising # of chiefsplanet posters do.

Is Chiefsplanet the oldest average age forum on the interwebs? Could be a marketing opportunity there.

Unlikely imo. You guys aren’t the DEN defense of 2015.

I’d bet Brady has a big game and the Pats score a lot but can’t keep up with all of KCs weapons. Lose 38-31 or so. Much more likely than Brady’a career dying on the field.

Even though it’s the location of the muzzle, Brady/Goff are full choke, Brees is moderate and Mahomes is improved cylinder.

I assume this is rhetorical because rationally yes that is too confident unless vegas is off by quite a bit.

Since you're a chiefs fan I don't blame you though!

If they’re 75% you should make the biggest bet of your life at -150, but you know that.
