I mean, you can agree that he's not right mentally and still find it ridiculous that stuff like mug shots, 911 calls and those videos are just public material in the US of A.

I would think the person who owns that camera can do whatever he/she wants with that tape. We are a better and safer society now that there are so many cameras taping stuff in public.

Every day there are videos released showing people committing criminal/irrational behavior that not only help capture the perps but also alert the public to how people who otherwise seem intelligent and reasonable may act when upset/under the influence/etc. This is preventative towards future bad incidents IMO.

Someone in the future dealing with an out-of-control family member may actually save lives based on NOT opening the door because they recall this video.

I’m amazed at how many people in the Twitter comments to this multiply-posted video seem more intent on shaming the family than being horrified that RS had gotten to that bizarre a place.

911 calls? Same except I’m sure there are reasons in some instances for editing before release to protect the innocent.

Not sure how beating on the door was supposed to convince his father-in-law to come out. If the guy was a gun owner and Sherman had managed to break the door that would have become ugly.

In many places in USA#1 the actual opening of the door would not have been necessary for ugliness to ensue.

He had to be really close to the magic number of yelling "come through" that would have finally gotten someone to open that door. Gave up too soon.

His not guilty pleas suggest that his remorse and desire to seek help don't extend to accepting responsibility for his actions.
