sick bump.
Funny to see the utter spazzing that was going on 2 years ago over Brady and the absurd overreaction to Manning 6 int game at SD when he had the scrubbiest WR corps imaginable.

Colts players who caught passes in the 6 INT game:
Reegie Wayne
Joseph Addai
Bryan Fletcher (last played in the NFL in 2007)
Craphonso Thorpe (last caught a pass in the NFL in 2007, currently riding pine in TN)
Aaron Moorehead (last played in the NFL in 2007)
Ben Utecht ( 16 catches for 123 yards with the Bengals in 2008, currently on IR)
Kenton Keith (cut by the colts in training camp prior to 2008, starting RB for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League since.)

The schedule makes for the Colts are extremely bias, don't you see how they get a bye week every year prior to each Jaguar game? How bout the fact that this year they get a bye week and a long week to prepare for JAX(thursday night game FTW). Manning is just a robot created by Polian.

Better question, for all those people who say Jamarcus Russell is the worst QB ever: do you remember Alex Smith? Jamarcus actually has a higher career QB rating than Smith.

Almost makes one feel sorry for the Bay Area. Just when you think that the title of worst QB in the NFL leaves the Bay Area with the benching of Smith, Russell starts playing across the Bay.

It's funny that people ever thought Brady>Manning. Just like it's funny that some people think Brees>Manning. Peyton Manning is the best QB of all-time.

agreed. And just like it's funny that some people thought Aaron Brooks was a better QB than Eli.
One huge factor for both Mannings is that they have played every game.
EVERY game!
This amazing stat may be attributed to many factors.
Maybe luck is the biggest factor, as anyone playing in the NFL, especially QB, is gonna need some luck to not be seriously injured. And no doubt the teams have tried to build an offensive line that protected the QB,
But it has to be more than just that.
Maybe watching Archie get pummelled year after year with the saints impressed upon them the importance of moving up in the pocket, having an internal clock that tells them to get rid of the ball, and being in condition to take the abuse and play every game.
I've seen both Peyton and Eli take some ridiculous hits- especially back when Eli was skinny with the Rebels, and Peyton's rookie season with the Colts.
And they always have gotten up for the next play.
Something in their makeup. Last night was an example- the Titans got a penalty for late hit on the QB (some questioned the call). But when the play was over, Peyton was trotting up the field while the two defensive players were laying on the field.
They are just much tougher than they look. I remember a few years back Eli getting knocked out of the game, and the projection was that he would be out for weeks. (broken neck possibly) He started the next week and played well.
I know I'm not objective, I grew up with Archie as my sports hero (he still is).
And I know they've had plenty of games where they were bad,
but it certainly is enjoyable for me to see them having so much success.
And I do believe that when he's done, Peyton will be considered the greatest QB to ever play football.
And hopefully Eli will have more rings!

This is just crazy talk. And coming from you, I'm not surprised. I'm pretty sure I haven't agreed with one thing that you've ever posted.

Peyton's great but Brady's better and I'm not even quite sure that Brady's the best of all time. How old are you? Did you even ever see Montana play?

It's not crazy talk. Right now P Manning is in the conversation with Montana, Unitas, Young, Marino, and lots of people think that when he's done he'll be widely considered the GOAT. don't be a douche

Why is Brady better?

A couple of years ago the reasoning was Peyton needed Marvin. Marvin's been done during Peyton's last 2 years, and Peyton has still been great. They don't have him this year, and have a make shift #2 and #3 and he's still sick. They have no running game and still sick. Brady still has Moss/Welker and is back to being good, not great. Please don't put it on winning SBs...........Big Ben has 2 SBs and if you are going to argue he is better than Peyton 2, you are on the fail boat as Untouchable said.
