Manning probably would have somethong similar if rolls were reversed. Probably around 5 superbowl appearences.
when you are 18-0 with a massive margin of victory, to lose in the super bowl and only score 14 pts is a massive choke job.

and in the other giants loss, all he needs to do is make an easy pass to welker and its game over.

beyond that, getting stomped by a sanchez led jets team after a 14-2 season? massive choke job cmon.

The thing about playing in the AFCCG in 75% of your seasons and the SB in half your seasons is that there is bound to be at least some evidence to support whatever narrative you want to construct.

- they had indeed closed very strong. Big wins in their final 2 regular season games to make the playoffs, blowout vs Falcons, huge win @ 15-1 GB and just the fact they were in a close game @ 13-3 SF is a strong result (even if it took good fortune to win). That team had closed strong.
ya giants were playing well but pats were still decent favs.

incidentally, wtf happened to hakeem nicks. he had a monster game vs the packers and went for 444 and 4 tds in 4 playoff games. then he was awful the rest of his career. really strange for a guy to fall apart in his 4th year.

When i see guys like that, i figure they had bad diets, didnt train properly and never got treatment for nagging injuries.

Just 3 more SB losses and he'll match labron.

In order to match him % wise brady would actually have to lose 6 more without winning any

I expected this thread to get bumped thinking that Brady was going to throw for a million yards and lead a great comeback.

Weird how he might have 6 rings if he was just a better receiver.

It seems Brady has lost more SBs than Peyton & Eli combined.

Most yards thrown by a QB ever in the playoffs. No picks. Gave Gronk a shot in the endzone to extend. A loss that ensconces his legacy, weird as that sounds.

I saw some people say that Montana and Bradshaw should rank higher because 4-0 is greater than 5-3. Huh?

and the 500 yards doesn't mean shiit in today's game. Did it feel hollow when you typed it?

It's an every week occurrence

There have only been about 20 500 yard passing games in NFL history.

lol whoops. I stand corrected. Sorry got riled up.

Nothing at all mind-blowing about the actual collection of throws that amassed the record-breaking yardage

He hasn't reinvented the wheel or the position of NFL quarterback as much as some want to believe. He's just been very fortunate to have the platform he does. It's not a stretch of the imagination to think many could've achieved similar results if transplanted into that circumstance. Believe it!

Honestly.. my school of thought is... thousands of kids play football in this country. The ingredients needed to throw a football with pace and accuracy are pretty much bestowed on us all, unless you're a total gimp/ genetic lottery loser(lol wat) Seriously, though, countless, innumerable young men possess the same or greater physical and mental ability that Tom does. It's an instinct, the act of seeing a teammate, anticipating his cut, and leading them with a throw. It's nothing singular to Brady. It's a lot about chance, really, after you accept that.

Tom Terrific was a 5th/6th round? afterthought the year he was drafted.. albeit by a wiz at talent evaluation/ molding.

It's interesting, but I think I'm right lol
