Bill Barnwell said the trade is Shelton + a 5th for a 2019 3rd. Not sure how accurate that is or what the conditions would be in that case.

So on the Bills' boards, everyone wants to go after Foles. I don't get it.

What would you have given up to bring Foles in a year ago? A one year vet minimum contract, that's what.

What has changed in that time? Is he a different QB now? Did he suddenly "get it?"

Or did he simply have a great 4-game stretch with a loaded team and a great coach?

Why do so many want to buy high all of the time?

Another question is, do you think Foles is demonstrably better than Keenum/Bridgewater/Bradford/Moore/McCarron/etc.? If he is, then is he worth the two 2nd round picks - or more - it'll cost to trade for him?

In other words, why pay a premium in draft picks for Foles when you can pick up one of the other FA QBs and not give up any picks to do so?

***

Am I seeing this wrong?

Nah you're seeing it right. Foles is a dumbass Atlanta Falcons rollout playcall from being completely irrelevant again in football.

If history has taught me anything it's that you can always count on the Falcons to choke, so Foles was in no danger.

Meh, I actually think he’s been objective and balanced.

If anything imo, the ‘Tyrod is underrated, you don’t understand all the good things he does’ take has been done so much he’s probably overrated at this point

Tyrod pick up is weird imo. Crazy if the Browns aren’t taking a QB at 1 and he’s the ‘answer’, weird as a bridge given his cost and ceiling. Unless Haslam has laid out some kind of mandate to win a certain number of games this year as opposed to continuing the long term build

Dorsey obv values a low turnover QB, and someone posted earlier that Tyrod with healthy Sammy Watkins was pretty damn good. Josh Gordon >>>>> Watkins in all aspects.

Don't understand the Landry deal esp with Duke Johnson, but maybe they're going with a blocking TE.

Lol I actually love Tyrod. Fantastic athlete, wonderful competitor, but after 3 years it’s obvious he is not the answer. We can argue all about his supporting cast, the schemes, and the coaching all you want, but the simple fact is, he is a middling QB at best.

Loved seeing him make plays and taking control of a game...but unfortunately, that only happened once or twice a season.

If the Bills were behind, the game was effectively over.

Great guy, fun to watch when he’s on, but he ain’t a franchise QB.

Time to move on.

Depends on what circles you run in. If yur following the PFF, Fahey & Barnwells then yes, way overrated.

Watkins/Woods/Hogan/Goodwin/McCoy tho? JFC.

I'll say this tho although I like the deal for the Bills; I don't know where they are better than the Browns outside of DB's. If they trade up for the wrong guy it'll be an ugly few years.

And the Bills getting the #65 pick in the draft for Tyrod - and not pay the $6M bonus he was owed in a couple of days - and clear over $10M in cap space - is highway robbery of the Browns.

Word was both the broncos and Cards were interested in Tyrod, but the Browns just threw what is effectively a late 2nd rounder at the Bills...gotta like that.

If they had traded him for a 5th or worse, I wouldn’t like it and would rather have him on the Bills next season. Because he can be ok.

The Bills now have 6 picks in the top 96 picks...that ain’t shabby. As long as they don’t waste a few of them on Nick Foles, I’m gonna be happy.

Hoping they trade up for Rosen or Mayfield, or hold onto their picks and fill out the roster...maybe pick someone like Mike White in the latter rounds? Or, maybe Jackson falls to them at 21, who knows?

Just please god don’t trade up for Allen and don’t pick Rudolph in the first round.

39/3 years; 5 million signing bonus...seems like a lot for a 30 year old CB with busted ACLs but I think he can easily be cut after 1 year.

Wonder how much is GTD aside from the signing bonus.

Seems like a lot for an injured CB dropping out of his prime. Thought he'd end up with some kind of incentive laden 1 year deal not a multi-year deal with guaranteed money.

We're so close now! We need him to win a couple more Super Bowls and ease the transition to Lights Camera Jackson.

An Achilles, not an ACL, and not both.
