If I’m Philly I don’t trade Wentz for 1&4, but it would something to consider. Disagree with the snap “no lol” sentiment here.

They should match it, although their approach to their RFAs has been kinda weird this year. Obviously I'm hoping they don't; Meredith showed some real talent before the ACL injury and would be a great get for the Saints at the price.

Given that the Bears' starting trio is currently listed as Allen Robinson, Kevin White, and Taylor Gabriel, they actually might not match. Not enough snaps to go around-- although that sort of assumes that White will be both healthy and effective, neither of which I'd want to bet on.

Meredith only has 4 100 yd receiving games in his career, 2 of those against CB's who weren't in the league long after those games. I'm a big fan of the kid and he's only 25 but let's calm down a bit.

I'd actually be a little surprised if the Bears did match; we're cheap as hell and the owners HATE it when they pay players who didn't play on the field. Traditionally we let them walk, hell we tried to dump Kyle Fuller last offseason because of this.

That said, the money is whatever and the Bears have plenty of cap space so why not. Oh right it's the god damn bears.

He got those four 100 yard games with Hoyer and Barkley throwing the ball. In a league where Albert Wilson and Ryan Grant are getting $8m/year offers getting him at 2/$10m seems like a snap. Hell the Bears gave Gabriel 4/$26m and he has zero 100 yard games

regarding how cheap we are in lol bears this offseason

They dropped the fifth year option on Kyle Fuller, now had to pay him FA dollars, far more than just keeping the option would've cost.

Could've put a second round tender on Meredith for only an extra one million when nobody would've probably signed him (since they would've had to give up a 2nd round pick), they did not, and now have to pay twice that in money terms just to keep him and since they put original round tender, they will get nothing if they don't match because he wasn't drafted at all.

tl;dr my team is really flipping stupid. Why do I root for these idiots?
