Cooks started being a locker room problem once Michael Thomas became the #1, but I don't doubt the financial side of it made moving him a lot easier.

Ah. Ya MT is the real deal and longer than Cooks.

Cooks only got 20 million guaranteed money. He certainly would have commanded more on the free market next year. I think he gave the Rams a discount to play with Goff and Sean McVay.

Seems like a pointless risk by Bell. Going into his 7th year doubt he breaks the bank in FA.

He's giving up like $12.5m guaranteed. Hardly seems like much of a risk.

Don’t have it in front of me, to all intents he would have got $30m over the first two years iirc?

He'll get a lot more guaranteed $ next year.

Here's this:

Haven't read it yet, but I think it breaks out down pretty well.

Do you think the second drug test fiasco had anything to do with the Steelers low balling him?

I think it's probably a combination of concerns about committing long term to a guy they give the ball a ridiculous amount when he's available, along with the various reasons he's not always available.

tbh, they’re not lowballing him. He’s being offered 50% more than the next highest paid player in average per year and realistically will earn $30m over the next two years.

I think he is very justified in not taking this deal if he wants to back himself to stay healthy and productive in 2018 and earn a larger multiyear deal but the Steelers are right not to guarantee $45 or $50m to a veteran RB who realistically has probably peaked already and may already be showing signs of wearing down

Last head coach who isn't BB to win the AFC East passes away. RIP Sparano.

The second to last living head coach to win the AFC East BB is the same season of YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME in 2002.

Tisch is more likely to get locked out of the building for his comment than anything else.

If players want to disrespect our country they can go back to their country of origin or use that communication degree their tutor worked so hard for in college
