won't Browns cutting Osweiler contravene NFL rules? Fairly sure there's a rule against trading picks for cap space

Bills also signed S Jordan Poyer, & the Eagles signed Chance Warmack to a 1-year deal.

Love the Alshon deal. Not tied to him if he gets injured/busted for PEDs. Love that he turned down the Vikings to play with Wentz and try to land a long term deal with the Eagles. Hoping that's a reflection of his motivation and that he's not gonna be a dumbass.

Wait why would anybody possibly trade something for the Brock? Couldn't they just have gotten him straight from Houston for nothing?

AMAZING

Jumping on the Browns bandwagon now
Browns so far have Corey Coleman, the #1 pick, they have the Eagles 1st (12), the Texans 2nd, and a non ****** running their operation now. Gotta love it.

They got a 2nd and. 6th in exchange for Brock and a 4th. So they took him and his salary for a 2nd Rd pick

This Stacy McGee guy that the Redskins signed was the #12 interior d-lineman according to Pro Football Rumors. But he played in only 9 games. He's 27 years old and was a 6th round pick out of Oklahoma.

Hopefully we can add Pryor.

I think he was talking about why would a team now trade with Cleveland when they just could have traded with Houston.

They keep pointing out that PICKS AREN'T GUARANTEED TO PAN OUT. Wonder if they have any idea what the best way to give yourself the best chance of making draft picks pan out would be.

Giants gave Rhett Ellison 4/$18m...seems bad.

Lions sign DT Akeem Spence for 3/$10.5 & DE Cornelius Washington for 2/$6m with incentives up to $8m.

Circumstances may change for some teams after FAs are all signed. Team could end up with more money left under cap than expected and in need of a (crappy) back-up QB. Cost of making deal now is that you lose flexibility in FA, which for a team like the Browns has limited value, but not for other teams.

Browns might be able to flip Osweiler for more picks...

yeah, you can't just trade for picks for money. Technically they didn't bc they got a player, but if they immediately cut him....

There's less money involved for whoever acquires osweiler now than before. Browns can take the cap hit.

Fairley back to Saints for like 4/$29m.

Swearinger gets 3/$13.5m from Redskins.

Kenneth Dixon suspended 4 weeks for PEDs.
