Browns can straight up cut Osweiler it doesn't matter. If they get a 7th out of a team now that Osweiler will have $0 in guarantees all the better.

NVM but point remains. 2nd round pick >> wasting $$ trying to go from 2 wins to 4 wins.

WE DON'T EVEN GET A PICK FROM THIS BECAUSE GLENNON. #$@$%@% **** you pace.
they also get a backup QB which has to be worth $3m ish per in today's NFL and maybe Hue can get something out of him

My 1st thought is cap floor stuff, but that's a bit of a complicated moving target. I believe they need to spend 89% of their cap for the period between 2017-2020, so this should help them get there?

I mean from an owner's standpoint it seems like a lot, but it seems fun & shouldn't impact their chances of winning down the road.

So that's what Gettleman does the first time he has got cap space? Luke should just retire and not ruin his brain for this idiot.

That is not in any way shape or form the contract I expected for alshon

Nothing? He had negative value in the trade. They had to include a nice draft pick just to get nothing back in return and complete the deal.

Basically, yeah. Spend money you already have to in a year where you won't compete anyway and use it to buy a solid pick.

Teams flush with cash should do this more frequently.

Bouye got 5/$67.5m from Jags (or $65m depending on which report you believe), no word on guarantees, yet.

Vikings sign Reilly Reiff to replace Kalil, dunno terms.

Colts sign punter Jeff Locke...

Dolphins/Jags trade(s) complete:

Dolphins get:
Julius Thomas
2017 7th

Jaguars get:
Branden Albert
2018 7th

& Terrelle Pryor is visiting the Redskins...

Jags standard deal is to guarantee years 1 and 2 and to be able to get away from the deal without cap issues before year 3. Betting Bouye is the same

Wondering if Jags may be in the Romo sweepstakes?

1/$14m is obviously fine for Eagles, & they'll get a comp pick if he leaves (or be eligible for one)...but seems weird.

Redskins sign DT Stacy McGee for 5/$25m.

I believe it's the 2nd McDT they've signed to 5/$25m today, but everything is kind of blurring together.

Adam Schefter is reporting that NFL teams have already reached out to the Browns to inquire about QB Brock Osweiler, despite the fact that they just traded for him minutes ago.

Ian Rapoport adds that the Browns plan to cut Osweiler unless a team is willing to trade for him.
Latavius Murray is visiting the Seahawks.

Bills sign Micah Hyde.
