Spare me there's no evidence though. Kind of sad if anyone thinks those photos came from a bar fight as Zeke claimed. I thought SE was smarter than that.
Lol. You know the Columbus DA didn’t believe those photos because they could not verify their providence.
The NFL had to go through a lot of machinations to try and give them credibility.
I would add I think it is fairly uncommon, but not impossible, for these sorts of situations to involve a an actual stalker. Not to mention her lining up ezekiel Elliot sex video.
These cases are always tough because you absolutely want women who were abused to be protected and vindicated. On the other hand domestic abuse has become weaponized as a tool of revenge by some women. So it is impossible to just automatically take one side or the other.
The pictures are what they are. I think the pictures absent any other evidence or in this case evidence lacking any credibility is not enough to reach such conclusions.
The real issue is not ultimstely what happened but how horribly the nfl and goodell handled this entire 13 plus month investigation. The fact that the only nfl employee who talked to the alleged victim didn’t believe her should have had more significant weight.
The bottom line is the nfl has screwed the pooch on domestic abuse issues for a long time and they find new ways to mess up with every new case. I think Elliot’s team will be able to tie this up in federal court so even with a suspension it will not happen this season.
Back to the pictures count me as a person, who even though is strongly against domestic violence in a significant way I can’t just accept photographs as basically the totality of evidence. Certainly Elliot did some dumb things as it relates to this relationship especially given the nfl report paints an alleged victim who was not very stable, but I still expect a threshold of evidence before punishing someone.
I want every domestic abuser punished when it can be proven. Preferably by the courts in question. However given how the nfl continues to screw up every single case they have no credibility and get no benefit of the doubt when it comes to their motivations and competency.
