early opinion seems to be some combination of Darnold, Allen, Jackson, Rosen will go three of the top five.

not sure why there'd be a lot of anger of cutlah over kaep to the dolphins since we're already into august and kaep doesn't have any experience with gase where cutlah does.

I don't think they sign him tho, don't blame cutlah for warming up in case since who knows.

It's harder for a team like Miami to just punt a season when they made the playoffs last year and HC's never want to tank. You'd think Buffalo won't give up 500 yards rushing vs just one running back again this year but who knows. Cutlah would be a one year option anyway. *shrugs*

More on Cam Newton and why completion percentage is heavily overrated in his case

Jameis definitely needs to take a step forward in his decision-making; I admit to being optimistic about his talent and ability to do so.

In the strictest sense, the whole thing is useless.

Wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume that they confused him with several other WRs named Mike Williams but apparently not. They just suck.

After the news of Ryan Tannehill’s injury, the Dolphins have reportedly sign former Bears quarterback Jay Cutler. Joe Tidei, a associate producer for Comcast Sports Net Chicago, reported on Twitter Friday that the Dolphins and Cutler have agreed to a one-year, $13 million contract. It appears that he will get the starting job should Tannehill miss the season due to his knee injury.

Seems win win to me (still would have just said **** it and rolled out the old sophomore and see if there's any reason to roster him, but whatever)

If it seems true it makes the dolphins infinitely more watchable without ****** Tanny running the show. Huge win for Miami and football watchers assuming it's accurate

Cutler should be terrible I'd think. He seems like the type that would mentally and physically check out the moment he retired. Now to just turn around and comeback seems like a big leap for him.

But I guess he is no worse than Moore so might as well try it. And his wife will probably get a reality tv show living in Miami or something.

I'm becoming the new riverman of SE. What the hell happened to me?

josh mccown vs jay cutler (I'd say x2, but let's face it, one or both is getting hurt before they play game 2 if not by the first one) in the battle of tanking.

Miami still doesn't have a pass defense right? Cutlahhhh does throw rando picks for no good reason so that def will sure love that. We'll find out just how good Mia WR group is. If nothing else, cutlah tends to out who's good/bad there.

When you are a gunslinger like Cutlah, you put out the cigarette, finish the whiskey, and take the field

Tannehill's options are apparently either 6-8 weeks or season-ending surgery.

Either way with football starting in a month (!!!) on Sept. 7th, he's out at least weeks 1/2 if he only needs 6 weeks, but it's likely (much) more

Just quaff a bit of milk of the poppy and enjoy the ride

I dumped Sunday Ticket after last season and I live in a JAGS market so I'll be spared some of it

no that was josh mcdaniels. First meeting mcdaniels trashes cutler the entire time and cutlah was like **** this dumb **** get me the hell out of here.

Many would argue both were correct there.

That whole saga has been written about; if Washington had a QB they were okay with at the time--they would've traded him there instead of Chicago. Lots of what if's. Cutlah has a throw vs the cardinals as a bronco that's one of the best throws anyone's ever seen which made that trade even more nuts at the time.

well, that gif is mike tice, so uh, I get that one. I believe Cutlah actually likes Gase, might literally be the only one in football he does.

wtf? Say what you want about how his career panned out, but in 2009 Cutler was a 25 year old QB coming off a top 5 season. McDaniels pretty much torpedoed the franchise and the only reason we were redeemed was the signing of the GOAT. Also Cutler is just underrated in general, his tenure in Chicago is full of bad luck.

2010: NFCCG, tear ACL
2011: start 7-3 with +59 PD, fluke thumb injury, team finishes 1-5 without him
2012: 10 wins, miss playoffs.
2013: home game to make playoffs, up with 1 min left on 4th down and defense decides to call the ol "don't cover anyone blitz" play vs Godgers.

Not as elite as I think he is but def not as bad as the general public thinks. Plus entertaining as hell. CUTLAH.
