(for a variety of reasons)

re: Kraep's performance
fairly silly to ignore that the entire 29er franchise went to **** the last couple years
like the entire team was traded or quit
their coach was replaced by a hobo
i mean their leading receivers last year were Jeremy Kerley, Quinton Patton & Vance McDonald
a non-elite QB can only do so much with zero support
F Jed YORK. Swallow your pride and make Harbaugh King and while we wouldn't be a contender right now there is no way we win 7 games the last 2 seasons.

I really believe Taylor is underrated. He's going to have a breakout year. So damn talented...think he can make that leap to the next level with an offense that actually is suited to his talents.

as wheat pointed out, we'll never know how good Kaep can be unless he's in the right system... of course, we would know if the 49ers weren't run by a giant dickhead, but that's another story.

he's a see it, throw it QB, Cutler with worse touch and much better wheels. in today's NFL, the ability to avoid sacks is a premium skill because you're effectively making your o-line better.

we all agree he's bottom-third. 22 might a little high but 30 is absurd, and he should absolutely, positively be rostered. the notion that the team he signs with couldn't come up with a media strategy is laughable. if none of the players care, it's not a story.

i just want Kaep to join a team so we can all stop talking about him and he can sit on the bench where he belongs.

Seems like a lot of evaluations here are relying on the talking points the anti-Kaep crowd pushes. My incentive to convince people though is pretty low. Film don't lie though.

Kaep has the worst sack % in the NFL by a decent margin for qualified QBs still playing. Goff, RG3, McCown and Cutler were worse last season I guess

Mobile QB's typically do take more sacks than avg simply because the thought process when rushed isn't "get rid of the damn ball" as they have the ability to out run it sometimes. Still, being able to run for a first down on passing situations is certainly valuable, or read option against the packers, i'm not sure they've figured out how that works yet.

Well if it ends up Giants vs Packers in the playoffs again there's no question the Giants should just sign Kaep for that game

Kaep isn't the QB he once was. He also isn't bad enough to be kept off of teams entirely.

Teams will get desperate sooner rather than later. Winning will take precedence as the season progresses. I bet Kaep takes some snaps during the regular season. He might even start at some point.

Top 5 teams likely to improve and decline

Some of the bad teams aren't really too surprising. Tough to win 1-4 games b2b years in the NFL.

if you just pick the best and worst 5 records from last year every season you'll end up being pretty good at this
