Really? Lol

Cleveland has one if the best OL in football. They have a great/elite WR in Coleman who could tear the league up with a QB. Could get two of the best pass rushers in the draft. One if them might be the best pass rushing prospect in the last 5 years. Then they can grab a great CB prospect in the second and a great RB, if they take the right guy, to run behind that beastly OL.

Yeah Brown's should have offered Romo like 25 million for one year. What are they going to spend the money on?

lot's of "ifs" and "maybes" in there. here are the facts:

1) The Browns were 1-15 last year
2) They have a bunch of draft picks who may or may not turn into useful NFL players
3) Bovada has their odds to win the SB as the longest in the league. 32 out of 32 teams.

adding a probably injured QB to that equation...doesn't do a whole lot. maybe they win 7 or 8 games instead of 4 or 5.

as for the money, they can roll it forward. they don't need to spend it now.

Well if I'm Sasha Brown I throw 25 million at Romo and up if I need to. I mean I get tanking but how long is a GM's leash if he wins 2 games in 2 years?

Romo replacing Phil Simms

This is the most impactful offseason move in NFL history

I'd say even the Browns owners would understand that a rebuild of this magnitude would take more than two years and to give it time...but it's the Browns so you could be right.

I don't see how it's consistent for you to say the Browns now have one of the top OL in the league and potentially getting all these pieces but without Romo they'd still only win one game

They won 1 game last year but If Garrett has a Bosa like impact right away which is in his range they'll win 4-5 games just running the ball and playing defense. So yeah probably not a one win team this year.

Tanking is an option I'm just saying Romo's elite. Not sure he can stay healthy but it would have been worth it to swing for the fences. Love what Sasha is doing in Cleveland though and I'm anticipating him drafting the right people this year.

if you're thinking that Romo takes them from 4-5 wins to 11 or 12 wins...that's pretty optimistic. 8 wins maybe and at 8-8 they don't even make the playoffs.

they are better off adding 5 rookie QB's and hoping one of them pans out for the medium term

They only need 10 wins but Romo retired so let's see who they draft.

Interesting perspective. I do admit that it has a lot of merit.

Are we certain Romo's replacing Simms? I heard that, then I heard later that he's John Lynch's replacement.

So now former Cowboy QBs are the lead analyst for 2 networks. Thank god the Cowboys don't make Championship Games or Super Bowls anymore or that could be unbearable.

I think that's what FOX was offering but CBS offered him the big seat
