man, can someone explain to me the 2p2 love of teddy? I recall a couple of people that are intelligent showing a lot of love last year and now he went #1.

Ranked 21st out of 37 QBs that qualified last year in DYAR. 22nd in DVOA (its negative)*. Below average in ANY/A+ at 92 for the career. Thought maybe it was that he doesn't make mistakes but nope, 21 picks over 2 years to only 28 tds and fumbled an additional 11 times.

What am I missing here?

ETA: I know this has cap implications for the high pick here, I'm more talking in general than this draft specifically.

I chose 10 and 10 as the default so that people could use the 11th player on each unit to decide their base package (2WR / 2RB / 1TE, 3WR / 1RB / 1TE, 2 WR / 1 RB / 2 TE), and the 12th (and 13th if applicable) to customize their team to look more like they want it to look.

Same for defense. This way your base can be a standard defense or a nickel, plus you can add a couple of specialists if you want to go dime, add extra pass-rush, add extra run-stuffing, whatever.

Any opinions on this?

Easiest way to look at this is in the TEAMS tab of the SPREADSHEET.

Maybe an SE mod will come along & put all the good info in the OP.

Yup, looks like it. 26 man rosters, $100m cap.

Bench is relative I guess with multiple formation types & sub packages, but yeah.

I don't see any other QBs that strongly differentiate themselves for the crowd to me, & my top 5 is pretty even at this point, so no point in taking a QB right now.

I think OBJ, DHop & Gronk were the only receivers worth drafting this early.

Sooo...I'm just going to be dumb & cheap & pay a guy $600k

I am aware that this is likely a terrible & entirely irrational pick, but YOLO.

Gimme some CB Malcolm Butler $600k.

Luck was the guy I briefly considered over Newton but couldn't get over how awful he was last season. Still think he's an easy pick over everyone else except Wilson and Rodgers
