god do I hate the annual "look at how dumb these black kids are on the wonderlic, a completely meaningless test for everything" nfl draft tradition.

He's an average LB that played at Alabama.

Anyone else still holding out hope/belief for a Jimmy to the Browns trade? Can't believe that Pats won't pick til the third Rd in this draft

I'm guessing 12 and 33 would get it done but wonder if 12 and 52 or 12, 65 and 145 would make it happen.

Nah, I think it's a pretty bad idea for the Browns. Certainly at the kind of price you're quoting.

Pretty true, but I still don't know too many systems that are great at doing that. Athleticism for edge rushers is a pretty good one. I do have certain thresholds for performance at positions like QB. (60% completion is pretty much the bare minimum; that number probably should be higher, but I know anything below that is definitely bad.) And where I check athleticism at other positions sometimes is more for the floor than the ceiling-- I mean, NFL athleticism will show up on film, but if you like a guy's film but his athleticism goes below the bottom 20% or so at his position, then you have to start concerning yourself with the possibility that he's just too physically limited to hack it.

After watching the Texas A&M/Alabama game I'm going to say Cam Robinson is the best LT prospect in this draft. He destroyed Myles Garrett in that game.

Garrett had some nice plays but as you'll notice none of them are against Robinson. Robinson made it look easy too.

Check it out!

Almost 6'6 320+ pounds
Long arms at 35.5 and big 10.5 inch hands.
Tested out as a good athlete for that size with a 5.15 40, 1.78 10 yard split, 4.82 shuttle, and a 7.81 three cone.

Watch that game tape. He has a fast back pedal and gets out of his stance quick. Long arms. Good punch. Strong.

Myles Garrett looked overmatched in this game against Cam Robinson

If anybody is scouting him and watched this tape they have to fall in love with him. I think he's going to be a surprise top 10 pick but if he's there at 15 Indy has to take this kid. A+ pass protector. They are so dumb if they don't run up to the podium and select him.

Wow.

Yeah Indy would get an A+ from me if they took Cam Rodinson in the 1st and Dion Dawkins in the 2nd. They can fix that that OL with those two picks.

Every team basically knows who the Cowboys are looking at with their first two picks. Usually draft guys they bring in- no surprise mostly DLinemen and CB/Safetys.

It's really hard to take a MLB in the top ten because if they're that good an athlete they should probably be a pass rushing 3-4 LB instead. I have zero doubt Von Miller would be the greatest MLB in NFL history but he's too good to be wasted there.

I have like 8-9 guys I consider top guys, and the Saints pick 11. My big fear is that they're gonna reach for some late-1st talent at a need position.

Surely the Saints are gonna move up for Christian McCaffrey??

Is Christian McCaffrey really considered an elite talent? Maybe if he played more WR in college. Not drafting a white RB in the top 15 of the draft. / racist

Ray Lewis or Von Miller? I would take Ray Lewis.

Garrett Boles is just a 24 year old run blocker. I would not draft him in the first round based on the one game I watched but what do I know.

Come at me draft twitter.

Robinson's better than Boles from what I've seen, but wolves is overdoing it here, I counted 4 garrett plays on him (one run, three pass) (even if it didn't show up on the STATS), robinson had a few bad plays + was getting help at times. garrett should've lined up between LT and LG, he beat that LG like a drum. Lol when bama tried to block him with a TE/RB tho or not at all.

Minute marks on those please. Sometimes the play looks like it's designed to run away from Garrett and leave him unblocked or to roll away from him and leave him unblocked. I saw total ownage.

I believe first one of the 4 was the run block he broke and might've made the tackle too--wanna say around 5:00 on the video time and I think the second was quickly after that, two pass plays I thought he beat cam turning the corner but the ball was gone both times as bama threw quickly a lot in that game. Forgot the third. Think all were done before 4th Q.

I don't care enough to look exact times up, but I definitely didn't come away with total ownage, they chipped on garrett a few times during the game too.

If you feel it's total ownage then you have to put robinson > garrett on the big board and all that. Otherwise it makes no sense.

Yeah that tape got me thinking Cam is a top 5 talent. He's going to go earlier than most people think. He still shouldn't go before Garrett just because elite DE >> elite LT.

I don't really have a big board but the best prospects I've looked at taking into consideration their combine/tape.

Myles Garrett - best DE prospect to come out since Mario Williams in 2006.

Cam Robinson - handled him ^^^^^^ Likely surprise top 10 pick. SF, Chi, Jax, Car, Cin, Buf all need OL help and all pick in the top 10. Based on that tape and economics of the position this year he's not making it out of the top 10.

Obi Melifonwu - Trancendent athlete. Good college player. Has potential to turn the league on its head as a 6'4 lock down CB

Jordan Willis - Most explosive tape out there. After the combine we now know why. Total freak. 5 FF in the last 17 games. 24 TFL in his last 15 games.

Fournette- 3rd down issues are overblown. Best runner of the ball to come out since Peterson. Elite numbers against mostly SEC competition. Struggled against Alabama but Auburn's offense suck in general and Alabama has a great defense. They just focused on him. He crushed everybody else. In two bowl games Fournette rushed for 177 yards a game and scored 4 TD's a game. 8 total TD's. 6 rushing. 1 receiving. 1 kick return TD.

Plus there's a transcendent talent at a skill position I can't mention.

S class is deep.
CB class is deep.
TE class is deep
DE class is deep.

Top end elite talent isn't really there and there's no great QB prospect but there's a ton of great prospects. The 3rd round is going to be loaded with great players.

Waterwolves et. al,

Thoughts on Kevin King? Seems like he has ball skills + elite size/measurables.

Love Kevin King. I think he should be the second DB drafted. He has probably the highest upside of any CB in this draft. I wrote about him itt somewhere.
