Pretty sick Barry highlight except for the fumble at the end

So I didn’t realise that Saquan’s Uncle or Great Uncle is Iran ‘the Blade’ Barkley, one of the toughest boxers of the 80s and early 90s and a world champ.

He beat Tommy Hearns and also Roberto Duran in a classic. Both were past their primes but still he was a tough mofo

That Roberto Duran fight was awesome.

That's pretty cool. Only other boxer/football player family combination I can think of is Ken Norton and Ken Norton Jr.

Anyway, Barkley lost to Duran by split decision which was complete bull****. Barkley clearly won that fight.

You’re right. How weird that I remember that fight as a Barkley win. Duran dropped him at the end of the 11th, now that I think about it. Other thing I remember from that fight is after the bell they were still angry and shouting at each other

He also fought a classic against a guy called Michael Olajide

great soundtrack + highlight combo of the blade doin' work
titled "brutal aggression"

if saquon had the same brutal aggression displayed by AP in his HS and college highlights then he might just be the second coming...
...but he didn't, so he won't.

the one thing i associate with AP is he's a VIOLENT runner. he has tried to punish everyone that gets in his path since he was in HS. saquon is nothing like that.

UGA's fourth back, behind Chubb and Michel and Swift, this year was Elijah Holyfield. He's expected to get a lot of carries next year.

What do we look for in a QB--how about how the guy looked on a heavily edited TV show.

This was funny till the realization that's how we also pick presidents.

Unless all the reports are fake news it sounds like Giants board is 1. Barkley 2. Darnold and the Jets top two are Mayfield and Darnold.

Would be so Browns to take Allen at 1 when they can get him at 4

Been thinking about this and I want to know what others here think.

Is there any merit to the idea of Cleveland taking two QBs with their first two picks? It would suck to pass on Chubb/Minkah/others but you can't win without a QB.

Man, PFF thinks Baker Mayfield is way, way ahead of the other QBs in this draft. He's the best-graded QB prospect since they've been around, so they say. The top prospect in the draft.

I've solidified my views (based on 0 film study) as....

Worthy of top 5 pick

Mayfield
Rosen
Darnold

Worthy of mid to late 1st rd pick

Jackson

Worthy of 2nd rd pick

Allen,
Rudolph
Lauletta

If your worst fears come true and Buffalo winds up with Allen, Jackson or Rudolph, don't give up hope!! Nothing is written in stone; any one of these guys mentioned here might turn out to be great. NOBODY KNOWS FOR SURE.

Hopefully in a few years you'll be making deep playoff runs consistently, and loving your 2018 QB pick, whoever it is. You guys have waited long enough. It's time.

On the other hand, if Buf doesn't do what it takes to get in the game and try to snag a credible QB, then lol Bills I guess.

I'd be fine with Jackson at 12 or later, fine with Allen at 12 or later, fine with Rudolph in the 2nd round or later...because that would mean the Bills would be going after a possible franchise QB and could also fill out their roster with their plethora of picks.

However, if the Bills trade up for any of those players, that would be a disaster. I could see trading up for Rosen, Darnold, or Mayfield...but not the other three.

while equity wise it makes sense, it would be really hard for a GM to justify it short term to their ownership. and most owners just care about the really short term. skins took RG3 and Cousins with the 2nd pick and 102nd. i think it would be easier to justify if you took one with the 1/4 and one in the rest of the picks they have. i'd much rather in their situation take a guy with the 1/4 and wait to see who falls and then trade up when you think you may get sniped either at the bottom of the 1st or just take a QB with one your 2nd round picks.

Well good luck man. Buffalo is on the edge, and this draft will be huge. Time to make all the right moves, whatever they are.

Yeah, I think this is pretty accurate, but I'd also add that the practice limitations in the CBA would make it difficult to get them both enough reps to adequately develop, unless you were really good at maximizing practice time.

#1 pick already has enough pressure as it is. There's just so many things that can go more wrong by drafting two in the top 5 same year that it would be really stupid. Nerds gonna nerd though.

They should pretty clearly take Barkley at 1 and a QB at imo

I assume you're saying this as a Giants fan.

Something I was thinking about with Lamar Jackson but don't have the resources to research: Is Jackson's completion percentage lower in part because he's running for first downs instead of throwing high-percentage checkdowns? First instinct is that this makes sense, and his Y/A and AY/A are slightly ahead of Darnold's and Rosen's despite their higher completion percentages. But I don't know for sure without actually seeing someone chart the data.

There are two acceptable things to do with a top 5 pick. Take a QB or trade down. Taking a QB at 1 should make trading down more attractive but 2nd QB is 2nd best option.

CLE has all the picks and all the cap in the world for any other position. QB is the only position you can't get unless you have a top pick.
