So on the same play that Womp took a stroll OOB for a game losing safety, the same play Mike LOLOLOLOL696969 McWOATy proved to be a worthless traffic cone, the best god damn tackle in football gets a high ankle sprain for nothing

No play better sums up being a 9er fan

Call me a glass half full kind of guy, but I thought Godgers looked pretty good week one. I didn't watch every week 1 game (as I never do), but I think I've watched enough NFL games to know he wasn't in the bottom half of QB performances week 1 and it was probably a top 10 QB performance after adjusting for the (lack of) talent around him.

We were also missing out 2 best o-lineman. The man is throwing to rookie WRs in their first NFL game, 2 TE who wouldn't see the field on most teams, old man cobb, sammy watkins - who literally hasn't had 700 yards in a season since the year China lifted it's once child policy.

The more and more I think about this the more I think Godgers week 1 performance was pretty damn good. I think the only other QBs in the league that would have outperformed Godgers if they were GBs QB week 1 is lamar, hurts and maybe a couple other QBs who have the ability to just run the ball when they figure out the receivers can't get open/catch the ball.

Rodgers was one of the worst QBs in week 1

22/34
195 yards
0 TD
1 INT
4 Sacks

No as Mickey will explain he was awesome just his teammates sucked.

I really don’t understand liking the player (Rodgers) and not the team (Packers) first.

I do!

You obviously didn't grow up in the South when the Saints became an expansion team. It took me some years to rid myself of the team first approach to the NFL. I had a couple of relapses--including the Oilers until they collapsed against the Bills in 1993. Since my recovery I have never enjoyed the NFL more.

I can't imagine being welded to a few current NFL teams. ugh!

The more and more I look at these numbers the more and more I am impressed by them. It is hard to fathom anyone other than the GOAT playing that well on a team without its 2 best o-lineman and exactly 0 top 100 pass catchers in the NFL.

Not only do many of his teammates suck, but others aren't even playing because they are hurt.

There was a time when I liked the packers more than Godgers, but what the packers have done to Godgers is unacceptable. Sometimes wearing green and gold makes me feel like one of those people on the news whose kid just murdered someone and they have the balls to say "my kid is a good kid". It just feels icky supporting GB knowing what they've done to Godgers, but I do it anyway.

ELIte

1. Bills (2-1)

Cue the outrage itt. Don't care about the loss, the Bills are so obviously better than the Dolphins and are the best team still. They opened -3 @ BAL and it's already moved to 3.5 (if it somehow comes back to BUF -3, it will be one of my best bets).

The Good

2. Chiefs (2-1)
3. Eagles (3-0) (up 2)
4. Rams (2-1)
5. Bucs (2-1) (down 2)
6. Packers (2-1) (up 4)
7. Ravens (2-1)
8. Dolphins (3-0)
9. Chargers (1-2) (down 3)
10. Vikings (2-1) (down 1)
11. Bengals (1-2)
12. Niners (1-2)

I could have been convinced to put the Chiefs in ELIte as well -- the win might have slipped through Kelce's hands (obviously still a lot of game left at that point). Bucs offense really needs to show some life, the defense alone can't carry them to the top of the NFC. I might be pushing the Packers a bit too aggressively here, maybe it's just a decade worth of Packers-in-the-mix-syndrome. The rest of this tier I think is well balanced. Maybe I'm giving the Niners a bit too much rope, we shall see. Tough to host the Rams after that loss. Don't @ me with anger about Miami ranking.

The Bad

13. Browns (2-1) (up 1)
14. Colts (1-1-1) (up 2)
15. Broncos (2-1)
16. Saints (1-2) (down 3)
17. Jaguars (2-1) (up 9)
18. Cardinals (1-2) (down 1)
19. Titans (1-2)
20. Raiders (0-3) (down 2)
21. Steelers (1-2) (up 1)

Ranking the Bills in their own tier made it cramped because I wanted to move the Browns and possibly Colts into Tier 2 but it would have made this tier awkward and small, because The Ugly teams are deservedly Ugly. Jags are a legit wagon, I don't know what to make of +6.5 @ PHI after those two games. Seems like a point too much. Like they had a good opportunity with Herbert injured and they completely flexed on them -- that is not Jags behaviour that we know and love. Russ looks actually cooked, I can't believe it as I keep betting them but it really seems like it.

The Ugly

22. Commanders (1-2) (down 2)
23. Cowboys (2-1) (up 1)
24. Bears (2-1) (down 1)
25. Giants (2-1)
26. Pats (1-2) (down 5)
27. Lions (1-2)
28. Panthers (1-2)
29. Falcons (1-2) (up 2)
30. Seahawks (1-2) (down 1)
31. Jets (1-2) (down 1)
32. Texans (0-2-1)

Not much to say, these teams stink. Saints losing is more an indictment on themselves. The moment I think the Falcons are feisty enough to cover something, they will lose 33-7.

The NFL season is in full swing!

Teams 2-8 have a wide range of outcomes, but it seems like you might be leaning too heavily on previous season results versus current team structure; which you even alluded to with GB.

I'd probably rank it Eagles, Ravens, Bucs, Chiefs, Dolphins, Rams, Packers. I'm interested to see the Bucs at full strength once they have all of their receivers. Currently, I'd have them behind all of those teams, but the ranking also has future implications.

The bottom tier of the good and the bad tier mostly seem reasonable, but I do think the Jags will keep moving up. They might actually be a legit playoff contender, especially in that division.

As far as the ugly, the Cowboys probably belong in the bad tier, the Lions are too low, the Panthers are too high, but that's because I hate the Panthers. The Panthers have a decent defense, but I think they might have the second worse offense in the NFL, behind da Bears. Bears probably also too high.

Yeah, that's the thing. Rearranging the buckets I don't really take issue with, I can understand why someone might have 2-8 mixed up from mine. I'd say my picks are +/- 2 spots within reason.

I also didn't downgrade the Bucs for that same fact.

Maybe I'm too down on the Cowboys.

Commanders could be lower which would bump Boys/Lions up.

As a packers fan I have to say the packers are too high. It is not possible to be a top 10 team in today's NFL without a top 100 pass catcher on the team. They got smashed by MIN, beat an "ugly" team in CHI and beat TB who was missing their 3 top WRs - we can ignore the WRs missing on GB vs TB as all their WRs are around replacement level and there is almost nothing separating them.
