Chiefs are so weird in that you know they just have another gear, but it usually takes some weird stuff to take them out. Mahomes pretty pedestrian vs Chargers and if CEH doesn't fumble they probably kick a FG and beat Ravens, and people would look at it differently.

The drops were ridiculous, that game shouldn't have been close yet it was. Ravens immediately looking like they want to play up as well as down to their competition.

the chargers illegal motion penalties are ultimately on Herbie. he has to recognize when two different players are in motion and give the team a chance to set to be legal.

yes, the receivers are being coached on that during practice, and there's some aspect of the offense that results in two people being in motion at the same time, but he's the one that calls for the snap during the game and needs to be sure everything is sorted before he does.

don't get me wrong, i love me some Herbie (not to the same degree that Dom hugs Josh's nuts and probably has a poster of him on his bedroom ceiling Farrah Fawcett style), and i think he's a baller...but i don't pretend he's perfect at the moment and i won't shy away of admitting as much.

the kid has a ****-ton of potential, and i think he's going to excel for years to come. only time will tell where he stands in the newly written record books of today's nfl stats.
