on a more serious note....it isn't the biggest signing and it passed without comment last week, but can anyone explain why the Colts gave Nyheim Hines 3/18/10.3?

I know he's a decent pass catcher, but he's at best their second back, his stats are below replacement level as a rusher and they seemed to pay way more than he would get as a free agent. Why pay him this much and why pay him early?

Cowboys next loss to the Chiefs in Week 11. Take it to the bank.

3 Rams (2-0)

Still my three top dogs. Again the Chiefs are the least balanced of these three, the SNF did not bode well for their defense but give the Ravens some credit. Bucs look great.

The Hall of Very Good

4 Bills (1-1)
5 Packers (1-1) (up 1)
6 Niners (2-0) (up 1)
7 Browns (1-1) (up 1)
8 Ravens (1-1) (up 2)
9 Cardinals (2-0) (up 2)
10 Seahawks (1-1) (down 1)
11 Titans (1-1) (up 4)

With another W like that, Bills will jump up a tier. Maybe they should be there but I just think Miami kind of stinks. Packers redeemed themselves just like every sentient being on this planet expected, home vs the Lions is a great confidence booster. Cardinals are like the Chiefs Lite, going to play in a lot of shootouts. Titans still solid.

The Bad Good Teams

12 Steelers (1-1) (down 7)
13 Chargers (1-1) (down 1)
14 Cowboys (1-1) (up 2)
15 Broncos (2-0) (up 2)
16 Saints (1-1) (down 3)
17 Dolphins (1-1) (down 3)
18 Pats (1-1) (up 1)
19 Raiders (2-0) (up 3)

Maybe I'm reacting too much to the Steelers but it feels like they've committed now to one last hurrah with Ben and this is the year where it just goes miserably wrong and he takes the nosedive everyone is waiting for Brady to take (which he never will, PEDs are a helluva thing, people). No idea what to make of the Saints. Dolphins quickly dropping a la Colts. Apologies to Raider nation here, lots of shade thrown in this ranking. Are the Raiders the Cardinals Lite?

The Good Bad Teams

20 Eagles (1-1)
21 Football Team (1-1)
22 Panthers (2-0) (up 1)
23 Colts (0-2) (down 5)
24 Vikings (0-2)

Vikings can easily climb 5+ spots, almost assuredly the best 0-2 team. Colts in a free fall. Panthers got the Saints with a ton of injuries and coaches missing, they get a creampuff @ HOU week 3 before the schedule gets tougher but admirable start thus far. Football Team has the pieces to be very solid but just haven't put them together yet, I think they could be a sneaky backdoor playoff team (last 5 games are all divisional, lol. Their schedule actually is insane, so hold that thought).

The Bad Bad Teams

25 Bears (1-1) (up 1)
26 Bengals (1-1) (down 1)
27 Texans (1-1)
28 Falcons (0-2)
29 Jaguars (0-2)
30 Giants (0-2)
31 Jets (0-2)
32 Lions (0-2)

Not much to say here, Bears with Fields are the only real mover & shaker in this batch.

Browns were losing before Tyrod got taken out and that's even with the Texans coach gifting them that punt instead of taking a penalty. No Odell yet, now Landry's injured as well.
I've said enough about the Chargers over the last two seasons.
Raiders are easily a top half team minimum but as the Raiders tend to do they'll probably lose to Brissett and the Dolphins next week.
Jets still easily the worst team, I think they'd get stomped by the Lions.

Yep.

Jets are way too high. In fact, they deserve their own bottom tier. They're that ****ing bad.

I would have the niners ahead of the Bills and Packers. They've been more consistent and well rounded. Not sure either of the wk 2 wins for Packers or Bills are that great. Goff committed suicide and Dolphins played terribly and without a QB

really too early for anything conclusive anyway...as per the last 5 years, these first 4 games are really just Pre Season and the League starts to take shape from early Oct

Conversely the Raiders don't even make the top 18!

Also, didn't Tyrod finish the half but was out the second half? It was 14-14 at half. Browns are still a solid team.

Quite possible that the Jets are miles below the Lions, upon further review.

I'm just not a Jimmy G believer. They have GB, SEA, @ARI next three. Should have a much clearer idea on them.

Right you are, I thought he got injured and left after his TD but looks like he played the last series of the half

So the Bears have already given up on the season? Or at least it's a way for Nagy to save his job...."We went 5-12 so our rookie QB could get better. Not my fault. Extension please."

if u redraft last 2 year QB's...1. Herbert 2. Mac?...nah Trev 2. or is he? Burrow kinda noodley. Mac too. Fields got wheels. Lance...supposed to be smart. Mac is pretty zen for a republican. Well, Brady is too.

That zach did throw a ball damn near 60mph last game. That is the fastest measured in last...idk the stat tbh but that was the fastest in like 2 years. McCourty said it stung.

If Fields isn't ready to start and Dalton is the #1 shouldn't Da Bears and Nagy be starting Big Dick Nick instead?

Burrow was very good last year. He might still get drafted ahead of Herbert tomorrow by some people but he’s a clear #2.

I think it's an advantage for certain dudes to experience QB-ing nfl talent in college. Burrow and Mac both got to experience the speed of the game every day. The relationship between a QB and his receivers...they have been with world class sprinters, thrown to them every day in college, they get comfortable with their 4.3 40 routes and, its college, they hang with them. And lining up vs freaks everyday in college, with good coaching. Keep in mind, they are BMOC. So they have the virtue of faith, confidence in themselves...and the time to develop concentration and mindfulness. You see it in their leadership qualities.

Not to say this is the only path. The arm talent and the legs to make something out of nothing...but even Mahomes had some time to sit back. Zach...we'll see. The ocean is vast and powerful.
