4 Chiefs (2-2)
Same top 4. Originally I had the Packers and Cardinals in this tier, but then I realized the Browns and Ravens would not be far behind and I can't have a god damn ELIte tier with 8 teams in it. Plus I am not a flavour of the week ranker. I can look past the Rams loss a bit, still think they are great, no team is unbeatable, and they'd still be >3 point favs at home if they played the Cards again. Bills crushing bad teams and that is one my favourite armchair QB anecdotes about good teams. BUF@KC in primetime is going to be fire.
The Hall of Very Good
5 Packers (3-1)
6 Cardinals (4-0) (up 3)
7 Browns (3-1)
8 Ravens (3-1)
9 Chargers (3-1) (up 2)
10 Niners (2-2) (down 4)
11 Cowboys (3-1) (up 1)
Wasn't sure if I should give the Niners the full 5 spot drop but I think the Cowboys might be favoured on a neutral field. Having said that: free Trey Lance, Jimmy G is so terrible, this is not a Jets or Jags, it's a good situation for a rookie QB. Cards are great but have a tough stretch coming and should fall back to earth a bit, I do love the firepower. I want to rank the Chargers higher but I don't see bumping any of the top 8 down right now.
The Bad Good Teams
12 Titans (2-2) (down 2)
13 Seahawks (2-2) (up 1)
14 Broncos (3-1) (down 1)
15 Panthers (3-1) (up 3)
16 Saints (2-2) (down 1)
Titans really shouldn't have lost, had zero weapons outside of Henry so I cut them some slack. Broncos might be dropping a tier soon if Bridgewater is out. On the other hand I love the Panthers as just a good middling team, rebirth of Darnold. Weekly reminder that I have no idea what the identity of this Saints team is, but it is probably that they're not that good.
The Good Bad Teams
17 Raiders (3-1)
18 Steelers (1-3) (down 2)
19 Vikings (1-3)
20 Pats (1-3)
21 Bengals (3-1)
22 Football Team (2-2)
23 Colts (1-3) (up 2)
24 Eagles (1-3)
These teams all kind of stink in their own way yet each of them has some redeeming qualities. I like WFT the most, followed by the Vikes. Steelers are ugly but get a hobbled Denver team next week at home, which is a nice rebound spot.
The Bad Bad Teams
25 Bears (2-2) (up 1)
26 Dolphins (1-3) (down 3)
27 Falcons (1-3)
28 Texans (1-3)
29 Lions (0-4)
30 Giants (1-3)
31 Jaguars (0-4)
32 Jets (1-3)
In before *insert team from this tier* too low. I could be reasoned with to drop the Texans down, but that's about it. Mainly I just didn't want to have a bunch of "up down up down" nonsense when the Jets, Jags and Giants get obliterated next week and New York football is back to being not back.
