Seems we need this because HERM is gettin all the ‘croots.

He signed an elite 4 star qb named Jayden Daniels. The thought of Herm is some high school kids living room talking to parents just cracks me up for some reason.

6 recruits have decommitted from Miami in a 24 hour period. Wtf is going on there? Is Manny Diaz leaving for temple that big of a deal?

Well, if you were a defensive recruit and the esteemed DC you'd signed up for left, it'd pretty much be insane to not open your recruiting back up with still plenty of time to collect offers including Miami if the new DC is still interested.

I actually would not be surprised if Mark Richt (who's always appeared genuinely interested in players well-being including helping find new schools for players kicked off the team) told them precisely the same thing. After all, the new Louisville coach rescinded all offers in bulk saying, "We're going in a completely different direction." and *at least* that gave those players a good chance to land on their feet instead of BSing until they got other commits they actually wanted then dropping them like flies.

I would be completely behind the idea of ASU being the emerging PAC 12 powerhouse under the leadership of HERM. I mean, Pete Carrol was once a flamed-out NFL HC before cheating up a storm and leading USC to glory. Why not HERM?

Early signing period is in like 5 days.

I guess that's plenty of time in some universes.

Saban proof that NFL washouts can win elsewhere

Do they have to get and accept offers by then?

Of course not, there is still the regular signing day in February and occasionally croots even take it beyond that. Also, for all I know, some of the decommits could be 2020 guys and yeah they would have plenty of time.

But: Most slots will be full as of the early signing date.

... and once those NLIs are signed it's infinitely harder for programs to 'process' out lower rated guys to free up a scholarship for someone who re-opens their recruitment.

For the recruits it turns into an experience like buying Christmas presents at the last minute - you might score but it's going to be stressful since things are picked over, out of stock or just plain unavailable. You might end up giving your girlfriend a toaster and a bottle of three buck chuck.

Well I feel dirty for looking at recruiting sites (like 99% of people there are pedophiles IMO) but I can only see two recent 2019 defensive decommits and Miami had higher "rated" commits at the same position anyway. A couple O-linemen and the rest are 2020.

Didn't realize the signing periods had changed that much. Guess those guys are in for a busy week!

They sell out of decent wine before Xmas?

Hoping Dan the Man makes up some ground.

Lot of big name recruits visiting but dont think we land any. Praying for a miracle to land in the top 10. Maybe some of these FSU kids that postponed their announcement decide to flip

Good article on Miami’s recruiting problems. They are ranked 34th nationally right now in recruiting. Lol geez. For Miami...that seems really bad. I’m sure they’ll get some more recruits and climb back up in the rankings but it’s a dumpster fire now

I don't know about that but there is no institutional reason ASU football has to be a crackerjack program and not have Wiscy/Oklahoma State type expectations.

If he ends up at Ohio State Tate Martell should go up to each of the coaches and punch them directly in the dong while screaming "NOW YOU KNOW HOW IT FEEL *****".

That said, I hear Starkville is lovely this time of year and young Mr. Fields would be well advised to join up with Joe Moorhead for the purpose of wrecking fools.
