Yes, but there's only one coach/GM who appears to understand this, and he wins 14 games a year...yet people still give him future picks every single draft.

true, otah was a good pick.

i think in general it's just a bad strategy. i would be really annoyed if my team did it basically every year. i've managed to justify it in this case for the saints but i would be upset if they made those kind of moves consistently.

definitely agree that in general it isnt good, lot of risk since if he doesnt work out then the damage is compiled by giving up a higher pick

I like Brooks Reed.

I'm happy with either one. Don't know who else I would be happy with. Bowers so talented but he could be Justin Harrell pt2 and he doesn't really have a place in the 3-4. (ROLB and straight pass rushing every play I guess?)
