in all seriousness i think there has to be some regression. One of Kaep/Wilson will probably have their sophomore slump, and Bradford doesn't seem to be cut for the NFL.

Main thing about the NFC West is we used to be the worst division even 2 short years ago, so being able to post something like this thread is more of a "post it while we can"

I don't think we can handle being the best for long.

Also we're no longer the scrappy underdogs, and this thread probably teeters on pissing off everyone else unnecessarily.

if one of those two MUST regress, then the hardest schedule in the NFL + no harvin makes wilson the likely candidate (don't think either will though)

Expert move by the Seahawks to fake a surgery on Harvin so that he can be fresh and healthy for the Super Bowl run.

I'll be pretty surprised if the Cards don't exceed that loss total by the halfway mark.

Feels like the o-line improvements haven't been priced in. They're going from literally the WOAT to respectable. That's gotta be worth a couple wins IMO.

This is, of course, debatable. You got a highly drafted but still unproven rookie guard, the position that is unarguably the least important on the line.

So you think Davis and Crabtree are both top 10 pass catchers (WR/TE) ITL?

yes

having said that, i think this is more a testament to kaepernick than anything. some receivers are top 10 on their own obvious merit (megatron, green, jones, fitzgerald, AJ) while some are top 10 because of offensive circumstance and/or who's throwing them the ball. crabtree fell in the latter last year and davis will fall in the latter this year as well

put another way, there is absolutely no way anyone can successfully argue that from the moment kaepernick became the starter that crabtree wasn't a top 10 receiver. there just isn't. so if i take the stance that davis is more physically gifted than crabtree and that i expect him to be superior to what crabtree was assuming he lined up at WR then ya, my stance is that davis will be a top 10 receiver this year

And some actual stability at the QB position. Hopefully won't be starting 4 different people at QB in 2013.

well arians is also installing a zone blocking scheme and afaict they have exactly two players who fit it: cooper and the recently signed eric winston.

but hey look at that magic he worked with the colts offensive line. pff had them ranked a healthy 31st in run blocking and 31st in pass blocking.

Did Arians bring in anyone respectable at OL coach?

he hired larry zierlein as their assistant offensive line coach. he was browns ol coach from 01-04, bills ol coach in 06, and steelers ol coach from 07-09. think he's been out of football since then (he was hired as the ol coach for the ufl's hartford colonials in 2011 but the team folded before the season started).

afaict he is their only offensive line coach but i could be wrong.

Look at it this way: 31st in run blocking and pass blocking would actually be an improvement for the Cards.
