NCAAF 2018 FINAL PLAYOFF DISCUSSION - Sporting Events and Fantasy Sports

Seems we need this thread already even though the games today aren’t completed. Uga mayyyy not be completely dead. We will see what happens. They are certainly one of the four best teams in the country imo but their chances of getting into the playoffs are quite low. I honestly think if we had to put a percentage number on Uga it wouldn’t be 0% to get in. But it’s pretty low. Maybe now 5%? Maybe a bit higher. We will see what happens tonight. I’m assuming Clemson and Ohio st will take care of things. Ou is looking stronger than ever to get in. I honestly thought they may have been left out 3-4 weeks ago. But I’ve changed my mind and think they get in now.

Seems like a strong push in the media for Georgia. I agree they are one of the four best teams. But it drives me crazy that the people pushing for them because they are one of the four best, give ND a magical exemption from that qualifier. Is there a non-ND fan in the country that thinks they are one of the four best teams?

Seems like it should be an easy year.

1. Undefeated Alabama, SEC champ
2. Undefeated Clemson, ACC champ
3. Undefeated Notre Dame, no champ
4. 1 loss OU, Big 12 Champ, loss vs #13 Texas, avenged loss

5. 1 loss OSU, Big 10 Champ, loss vs Purdue
6. 2 loss Georgia, no champ, losses vs LSU/Bama

Then 7-10 is some form of ucf, michigan, florida, washington

Will they choose that? Who knows!

Georgia is almost certainly a top 4 team in the country. But sorry, you can't lose to LSU and then make the playoffs after losing to Bama. Without the LSU loss they would likely be in.
