This is the most boring first round of the tournament I can remember.

Not only a near complete lack of upsets but also a lack of any games even having close endings. Unusually high number of blowouts, no buzzer beaters or even attempts.

We got spoiled with some of the craziest first rounds in history in the past couple of years.

I mean 3 games even stand out at all

USC/SMU
Michigan/OKST
ND/Princeton

And I'll remember Vandy/NW but mostly because of one person hilariously screwing it up.

Yeah this was a total garbage first 2 days. Even the 5/12 upset was lame because MTSU should have been a 9 and Minnesota an 8.

This first round was fine. There weren't a lot of upsets but that's a weird way to define good. There were plenty of good games and very few of the good teams player poorly which actually makes it better in lots of ways.

Only other round 1 I remember being this bad was in 2000.
