Unsurprisingly, Kansas is the least talented roster among the Power Five programs, but the second lowest ranked roster is Purdue. With the kind of early success that Jeff Brohm is having in West Lafayette relative to his roster, the Boilermakers have to be excited about what's to come. It's especially encouraging considering Purdue is currently recruiting at a historic pace in the 2019 cycle

They simply arent on Brohms level.

Willie Taggert and Clay Helton, on the other hand, Yikes.

Near the top of the list, no programs are underachieving more relative to the talent on hand than USC and Florida State. Clay Helton is a victim of his own success in that regard. The last three years, Helton has landed the No. 4, No. 4 and No. 10 classes in the country. We're seeing some youth make plays this fall and a true freshman at quarterback, but the development and discipline is lacking. Willie Taggart inherited his talented roster but at No. 7 on this list, it's hard to square up the talent available to the product on the field. Offensive line injuries and attrition is one culprit and may speak to a developmental snag at the tail end of Jimbo Fisher's tenure

LEACH

Quote:
During pregame warm-ups of that year's Red River Showdown, an underhanded script outlining OU's opening offensive plays was spotted on the field by one of Texas' student assistants, who scooped it up and took it to Longhorns defensive coordinator Carl Reese. To the heavily favored Longhorns, it seemed as if they'd caught an enormous break.

"We were trying to figure out if it was authentic," Reese said. "We were in this state of, 'Can we believe this?'"

They shouldn't have.

It was a fake, part of a plot hatched by Leach, the Sooners' offensive coordinator, and consulted by the Longhorns, who quickly fell behind 17-0 before realizing they'd been duped.
The untold story of Mike Leach's 'lost' OU play script that fooled Texas

This is nothing new for FSU. They've been doing less with more since about 2002. Luckily for Jimbo he luckboxed Rapeis and got like every break imaginable for 2 seasons otherwise his results would've been laughable compared to the monster recruiting classes he was getting.

I view beating Stanford about on par with beating Missouri. They weren't #7 in my rankings.

So there's a ~24% chance they lose 2 of those (but not 3, which is a 4% chance). Then Kentucky just needs to win all their non-UGA games (10%) for an additional 2.4% chance of winning the division outright.

But I guess there's the 4% chance of 0-3 UGA where Kentucky may only need to go 6-2 lessened by the hilarious chance of Florida running the table, 3-way ties, etc. So you're probably right that +1-2% is too low, maybe it's more like +5% for an overall 17% or so to win the East.

Thanks!

5dimes has UGA -8.5 @ LSU

What?

Kyler Murray is averaging 6.2 YPC and 57 yards a game rushing (remember, sacks are counted as rushing atts in college)

Lawrence, Haskins and Book all have positive rushing yards and can move around a bit.

If Alabama loses, it's probably because the defense isn't good, which is what we thought coming in to the season, and they lose in a shootout.

Yeah, I was just using Sagarin for convenience but didn't realize 5dimes already had a line for that game. I do find the 8.5 a more realistic spread.

oops forgot about Murray. Lawrence and Haskins are too slow, don't know anything about Book, but it's impossible to take ND seriously anyways.
