NCAA Football WEEK 8 Thread - Page 6 - Sporting Events and Fantasy Sports

I think the biggest line I remember in a college football game was 59. We've got a 50 on the board today. I'm thinking Notre Dame with Holtz, riding high, was 59 if I remember right over somebody, and won 59-7, with the other team scoring last to cover.

I believe it was the newly reanimated SMU team where after the 2 season 'death penalty' they made a frankenstein team out of high school players who couldn't play for Rice and UTSA. At halftime St Lou ordered the Irish to stop scoring.

The one play I watched was Oklahoma Jr trying a 35 yd FG on 4th and 1. It missed.

That's it. The next year from Holt's Natty and undefeated again late, a 20-something winning streak and a totally sick amount of the victims bowl teams, up against the death penalty high schoolers. I think they were 59 pt, maybe 57, favored and I missed the score by one point, I said 59-7 but it was 59-6.

Landed on 126 so went over by 74. I wonder what the record is. I also wonder what the most TDs in a game with no field goals. 18 in this one. And maybe the most TDs ever in a regulation game in DI or equivalent. Also one of the rare games that both teams go over by themselves. No punts either side?? Quite a game.

If they lose tonight that’ll be two unranked losses on the season. They would be effectively eliminated from playoff contention unless this season starts getting even crazier. They would drop to 11-14 at least I think.
