All games are *Assuming They Happen*. Already cancelled are games at UNC, NC State, Coastal Carolina, and Appalachian State (dammit!).

Matchup, Time (ET), TV

Thursday, September 13

Old Dominion at Charlotte @ 4:00pm - ESPN3
Boston College at Wake Forest @ 5:30pm - ESPN
This may not sound like much, but I do hope it happens. As of yet, I have never actually watched a "Charlotte" game and would prefer to keep that streak alive.

Tennessee Tech at Utah State @ 8:00pm - Facebook

Friday, September 14

Georgia State at Memphis @ 7:00pm - ESPN

Saturday, September 15

Ball State at Indiana @ 12:00pm - BTN
Florida State at Syracuse @ 12:00pm - ESPN
This time Florida State gets to show off their overwhelming talent ON THE ROAD! Now you may be thinking they can't possibly keep this bad play going and lose to Syracuse, but I assure you they possibly can.

Compare for a second the way the Virginia Tech defensive line (a good one, to be sure) absolutely destroyed FSU's allegedly #14 offensive line, while Texas A&M's allegedly #26 offensive line pretty much held their own against Clemson's GOAT D-line (the one with all the seniors who would've been drafted in the first or second round last year)? And then there was Samford who won that battle in the trenches until their best player got booted for targeting (In Tallahassee, hmmm?). You see where I'm going with this--call me when FSU *looks like* a really talented team.

Hawaii at Army @ 12:00pm - CBSSN
The Rainbows are becoming watchable and this here is a rare opportunity to see them early! Please note Army is favored by 6 in this game and I am unable to determine why.

Kent State at Penn State @ 12:00pm - FS1
Miami (FL) at Toledo @ 12:00pm - ESPN2
One of those Power 5 team travels to a Group of 5 team games. In a fascinating gambit, Toledo took their bye last week so look for them to take a shot here.

Murray State at Kentucky @ 12:00pm - SECNA
Oklahoma at Iowa State @ 12:00pm - ABC
First conference road game for what looks like an actual contender.

Rhode Island at UConn @ 12:00pm - SNY/ESPN3
Rutgers at Kansas @ 12:00pm - FSN
One of those 2 teams from Power 5 conferences games. While the actual game will probably be unwatchable (I mean, it'll be on TV on FSN, but the actual act of watching it would be distasteful) let's at least marvel in the process that is these two matching up; the spread is only 2.5 for home Kansas and the Over is only 44 despite both teams having pretty bad defenses. One of these teams will leave the game 2-1.

Temple at Maryland @ 12:00pm - BTN
Troy at Nebraska @ 12:00pm - BTN
Troy *could* be a little problematic here.

Tulane at UAB @ 12:00pm - Facebook
UTEP at Tennessee @ 12:00pm - SECN
Georgia Tech at Pitt @ 12:30pm - RSN
This game looks to give the winner pole position for 5th place in the ACC Coastal division, possibly 4th if North Carolina can't get their complete team together. GT did look pretty darned good on offense last week until they started throwing predictably.

UC Davis at Stanford @ 2:00pm - Pac-12N
Vanderbilt at Notre Dame @ 2:30pm - NBC
The rare Notre Dame game I will actually watch--Vandy may not win, but they should be able to hang around for a while.

Boise State at Oklahoma State @ 3:30pm - ESPN
Been a while since Boise State has been nationally relevant, but theoretically they may be back; win at Oklahoma State (only a 3 point dog) and the chant will be, "They're back! They're back!"

BYU at Wisconsin @ 3:30pm - ABC
Central Michigan at NIU @ 3:30pm - ESPN Plus
Duke at Baylor @ 3:30pm - FS1
One of those 2 teams from Power 5 conferences games. Duke has looked pretty good--and particularly better than Vegas expected. Baylor has, admittedly, covered their spreads so seem to be a fairly known quantity though I still hold out hope that they'll crumble a good bit more.

Georgia Southern at Clemson @ 3:30pm - ESPN2
If it happens. Why else would this defensive line have come back for another year of college if not to keep playing the triple option? Yeah, that's right--after trying some passes for a while they are back to being RunGSU!

Lehigh at Navy @ 3:30pm - CBSSN
LSU at Auburn @ 3:30pm - CBS
A for-real big game among the big boys from the big town north of the big easy in the big division of the big conference. Will feature several big guys, some big plays, and big big big big big big!!! Or maybe LSU's actually bad like expected.

Miami (Ohio) at Minnesota @ 3:30pm - BTN
SMU at Michigan @ 3:30pm - BTN
USF at Illinois @ 3:30pm - BTN
This is one of those games where a Group of 5 team travels to a Power5 team and is...favored by 10 points.

Colorado State at Florida @ 4:00pm - SECN
OK, let's see if the Rams can punch as well away from altitude. Maybe Arkansas was just "out of sorts" but, my word, have you *seen* Florida?

Eastern Kentucky at Bowling Green @ 4:00pm - ESPN3
Houston at Texas Tech @ 4:00pm - FOX
They haven't won yet, but if they do Houston will have some great street cred, having taken out teams from the PAC12 and Big 12. Granted, not particularly good teams, but probably acceptable enough names.

North Texas at Arkansas @ 4:00pm - SECNA
I know it must seem like I'm kicking a team while they're down, but fellas in my experience; that's life. North Texas has looked pretty good so far, but this will be their first road game.

UTSA at Kansas State @ 4:00pm - FSN
Wofford at Wyoming @ 4:00pm - MWN
Ohio at Virginia @ 4:30pm - TV TBA
New Hampshire at Colorado @ 5:00pm - P12N MTN
San Jose State at Oregon @ 5:00pm - Pac-12N
Bethune-Cookman at Florida Atlantic @ 6:00pm - Stadium
Eastern Michigan at Buffalo @ 6:00pm - ESPN Plus
Idaho State at California @ 6:00pm - P12N BAY
Alabama at Ole Miss @ 7:00pm - ESPN
I suspect this one will only get as bad as Nick Saban wants it to get, which is probably excessive by any rational measure.

Alabama A&M at Cincinnati @ 7:00pm - ESPN3
Arkansas State at Tulsa @ 7:00pm - CBSSN
Delaware State at Western Michigan @ 7:00pm - ESPN Plus
Oregon State at Nevada @ 7:00pm - ESPN3
Texas State at South Alabama @ 7:00pm - ESPN Plus
Middle Tennessee at Georgia @ 7:15pm - ESPN2
MTSU is not that great, but this is better than a total patsy game, and it is at least the air raid.

Akron at Northwestern @ 7:30pm - BTN
Louisiana at Mississippi State @ 7:30pm - SECNA
Marshall at South Carolina @ 7:30pm - ESPNU
Missouri at Purdue @ 7:30pm - BTN
One of those 2 teams from Power 5 conferences games. So far Mizzu has at least been able to take care of the basic business of beating patsies. Purdue's been less successful at this endeavor, managing to lose to a directional Michigan that's not the Chippewas. I think Purdue's probably better than they've played so far. So, on the inside. Not sure if that's going to actually manifest on the outside and in this game though.

Northern Iowa at Iowa @ 7:30pm - BTN
ULM at Texas A&M @ 7:30pm - SECN
UMass at FIU @ 7:30pm - beIN SPORTS
WKU at Louisville @ 7:30pm - RSN
Eastern Washington at Washington State @ 8:00pm - Pac-12N
Eastern Washington is one of those good FCS teams (Sagarin has them about even with Samford and Temple) and "Couged it" is still a viable expression.

New Mexico at New Mexico State @ 8:00pm - AggieVision / FSAZ Plus
It's time for college football's most pathetic intrastate rivalry game!

Ohio State at TCU @ 8:00pm - ABC
One of those 2 teams from Power 5 conferences games. And what a Game! OK, it's a 2 td spread, but still #4 at #16 so pretty noteworthy! Maybe tOSU will finally feel a little sweat for not having Urb around!

USC at Texas @ 8:00pm - FOX
One of those 2 teams from Power 5 conferences games. Ah, memories. Would you believe Texas is the favorite? Much like Rutgers-Kansas, one of these teams is going to walk away from this 2-1!

Prairie View A&M at UNLV @ 10:00pm - MWN
Washington at Utah @ 10:00pm - ESPN
It's the best team in the Pac12 North playing at the best team in the Pac12 South.

Arizona State at San Diego State @ 10:30pm - CBSSN
One of those Power 5 team travels to a Group of 5 team games. The Herm Edwards experiment goes on the road.

Fresno State at UCLA @ 10:30pm - FS1
Lost in last week's drubbing at the hands of Oklahoma is the key fact that UCLA heroically COVERED THE SPREAD!!! **** like that is real important if you want to be known as the best coach.

Southern Utah at Arizona @ 11:00pm - Pac-12N

ECU @VT has been canceled, even though Blacksburg is away from the coast and up in the mountains

Apparently it was ECU's decision and VT isn't very happy about it

Well, ECU has every reason not to go. Because, well, hurricanes kinda suck if you haven’t heard. Look what the official Va Tech twitter tweeted too after ECU cancelled.

Kinda well...insensitive. They promptly deleted the tweet because people were pissed. It was basically a big middle finger to ECU

I get it though; no better time to play East Carolina.

Why, I even saw a bizarre article suggesting UCF’s strength of schedule perception would be *worse* if they played UNC. Hoo boy, UNC, that is not a good perception to have out there.

I have no idea who is on USF's team but I recommend pawning your house to bet on them if the line is only 10 points.

Bummed that the WV/NC State game got canceled. Apparently we offered to host, give them all ticket proceeds and split the stadium 50/50 and they declined.

Probably better for WV though, we probably go to the playoffs if we win the conference with 1 or 0 losses and don't if we don't, so this game could only hurt us.

Hurts Grier's heisman campaign, but honestly he might throw 5 picks in a hurricane so idk

UCF and Nebraska both have an open date on October 26/27 and both had games canceled, somebody suggested that they play each other which would be ****ing awesome.

First, you have the Scott Frost connection which would be cool.

Nebraska clearly isn't going to go to the playoffs since they already lost to Colorado, so their goals are to make a bowl game and to win the B1G. Playing UCF clearly helps the former and doesn't really hurt the latter.

UCF has G5 slot aspirations as well as outside playoff aspirations, and losing a chance to play a P5 team, even one as bad as UNC really hurts them. Especially with Boise getting a chance to go beat Oklahoma State. UCF would jump at the chance to go play @ Nebraska.

Everybody wins! Only reason not to is Nebraska has OSU the following Saturday, and UCF has to play on that Thursday as well. (But Temple, come on)

Watched 2 Hawaii games so far and those guys are balling. Having to travel 5000 miles to play a game at 6am your time is the only reason I can think of, but even then how is Army gonna stop them from chucking it all over the place? I'm on Hawaii ML huge, feel like it's a total flip

Don't understand how Boise's dogged in this one. Broncos ML to the house

Again, how is this a pick? Houston is nasty. They had about 10 bombs against Arizona that were an inch away from completions, they could've won that game by even more. Tech let up like 9.5 ypp against Ole Miss

This one is a sneaky good game. Utah's pretty good this year I think, but just has an impossible schedule.

I'd call it an acceptable week--especially as there were going to be 3 more interesting games that got cancelled. I was particularly looking forward to the WVU-NC State one. I *love* the extended OOC play, and I'm sure we all can't wait to see the implications on data integrity!

I suppose it's because the visiting team does not want to get stranded at the destination campus because their home or road home is flooded out. Still, I don't see how cancelling and staying in the flood zone is really an improvement.
