dat's right ... but if you are being tackled when you cross back over they giving reach out yardage every time

Actually yes.

You claim forward progress. That would be if he reached out and the defender forced his arm backwards. If he reaches out himself and brings the ball back himself, that's not forward progress.

Have you ever seen a player have the first down and then lose it b/c he started reversing field on his own? Same idea.

Bama has a pretty tough path even though LSU and Tenn are way down. I would be super sick if those two were top 20.

Yeah. Bama does not have the superhuman QB to bail them out anymore. And that's not even a shot at Bryce. You just don't get to have Tua and Mac over and over for eternity no matter how well you recruit.

And the O line is not as good as it was for Tua and Mac, either.

Metchie is not superhuman like Devonta, Waddle, Jeudy or Ruggs. There is no Najee at running back. Instead each of the backs are more one dimensional

Seems like pretty much everyone kinda sucks and has some big question marks.

Miami just got wrecked at home by Sparty, so that initial win by Bama is nice, but nothing special now.

Should be a wide open season and fun to see how it plays out.
