Nah, it's kind of nice. We get to cheer for a team that is generally viewed to be an underdog, although we routinely beat pretty much everyone in the Big 10 except Michigan, OSU and Wisconsin, and this year we killed Wisconsin's season and scared the **** out of Michigan. If we beat them in the championship game, it'll be great, but if we don't no one will be surprised, so we'll just go to a bowl and enjoy it. We don't have the delusional fan base that everyone except Alabama and Clemson have - fans of about 50 teams or so are convinced they're gonna be 11-1 next year (see Auburn, Tennessee, Arkansas, Florida State etc. etc.) and so they're miserable and hating life when they go 6 and 6 and end up in the Belco bowl or something. For a while we were worried that someone would steal our coach, but he's on a long term deal and probably smart enough to stay at NU forever, instead of taking one of the delusional jobs, going 7-5 twice and getting canned. If he goes 7-5 at NU and beats Illiinois he's probably good for another 10 years, and he's knocking down 3.3 million a year.

Missed all the games after running a 50 mile ultramarathon yesterday, but caught some highlights.

-Citadel and the Triple Option FTW! The Service Academies have been on to something for years now. Michigan is on upset alert when Army visits in 2019.

-I think Urbs is out after this year. Unless there’s lol Harbaugh next week, I think Michigan may end his career next week.

-Clay Helton needs more time! ND steamrolling USC next week will be the ultimate exclamation point to a perfect season and the playoffs.

Well, bah! For a second there I really liked the kid.

11:29 total. It was an orgy of snow and mud, and the first 15 miles on the Appalachian Trail took 4 hours (awful footing and many single file runner bottlenecks). Was feeling sorry for myself late in the race, but heard the the ND score at the Mile 46 aid station and got the inspiration to charge through the last 4 (probably passed 25-30 people).

That sound awful. Even the 11 hour orgy would get a little taxing by the end.
