Anecdotally I saw a good 20k empty seats at Bama Louisville and lol blaming that on students.

Everyone I know who used to go to all the home games (Bama, Auburn, Georgia, Florida, FSU, LSU, and the Mississippis) no longer does and pretty unanimously cite the money and the TV timeouts as the reasons. And these are people who used to bring RVs and could easily "afford" it, they just mind being gouged and constantly waiting for the game to get going again.

There was a student on twitter who responded to Saban’s bitching about the Directional Louisiana game by pointing out that they only get three home games in their ticket packages now and who the hell is checking the box next to that game? It’s absurd. When I was a frosh at Bama we got tix to *every* home game. And this was way before they added eleventy thousand seats to Bryant Denney. That’s complete garbage.
