Yah but then punted a couple plays later on 4th & 4 from their own 18. Funny thing is their offense has mostly been crap so it was far from a given picking up the 4th & 1, but props for the aggro decision.
it went from punting from the ten with 3 minutes left in the half, to punting from the 16 with 1:26 left.. UVA still got down for the FG, but i was pretty impressed with the decision.
I gotta comment on a couple of point spreads this week. First one I called 0-6 Nebraska to start mashing people a few weeks ago and to be a serious threat to Buckeyes. Well, the set up for the game got sideways with OSU losing by 30 and getting an off week. Meyer with an off week. I haven’t looked it up but i don’t like it. Other line is Clemson - 38 ½ over Ville. That’s crazy sick and has to mean a whole, whole lot.
I have no play on either under these extreme conditions. In both cases the play I want has been thwarted by the set up. Via handicapping my own handicapping, I’ll take a hazard at the final scores:
OSU 57 -- Nebraska 17 (tons of Husker turnovers and big plays for OSU)
Clumpson 57 -- Louisville 10 (who’s worse Petrino or Gruden?)
Meanwhile I’m taking Penn State against Michigan. Points and some money line.

Petrino at least got Lamar to come on campus. Gruden basically after getting the job shipped his Lamar off (Kahlil Mack). Even as a Louisville hater, somehow what Gruden is doing is worse.

Sounds like an 18 point spread in a game you're expecting the fave to win by 40 is a pretty good setup to me.
ya I think osu is gonna have trouble with nebraska. something is rotten in osu land this year. no reason a team with this much talent should struggle. and nebraska is much better than their record.
also, nortwestern has proven to be a very tough team this year and I expect them to give notre dame trouble. theyve been very strong against good teams this year nearly beating michigan and whupping wisky and msu. I think they pull it off at home.
wvu texas game is pretty hudge for the playoff race. right now theres room for a 1 loss big conference champion and wvu is in contention so a loss today knocks them out.
So does Urban Meyer really have brain cysts that causes him to forget stuff or is this another one of those “heart problems” situations like in Florida where he just resigns at the end of the year for health issues and then takes the browns job. Obviously none of us can know for sure what’s going on with him but I think there is good reason to not believe anything he says.
