I always see chatsports links on facebook and they always look very spammy so I never click them. Surprised to see someone link that website here, haha

UGA potentially loses the #1/2 QB in the country and the #1 TE if they fire Richt.

The Titans fired Ken Whisenhunt today--a crazy move given their young roster and rookie QB.

I would snap-hire him if was a big time college program needing a coach.

I know nothing about him. Does he have college coaching experience? Just wondering why you would snap hire him.

I loved him as the Steelers offensive coordinator and he was my top choice before Tomlin was hired.

Average to mediocre NFL coaches have potential to crush it in college (Pete Carroll, Nick Saban, Lou Holtz to name a few). Obviously there are the Lane Kiffins and Dave Wannstadts of the world, but that's a chance I'd be willing to take.

Also his run from '88 to '93 at ND was incredible (1 x Natty in '88 and 2 x near Natties in '89 and '93).

When was the last time PSU was ranked in the top 10?

serious question, not trolling. I did a quick google search and got bored when it wasnt the top result

Rod Chudzinski is an NFL name that I'd look at for a college job. He was great as OC for the Canes and Panthers. He seemed to make a lot of +EV decisions his one year as an NFL head coach.

He was the world's last true H-back for the Yellow Jacket dynasty under Bill Curry in the 1980s. They fired Steve Spurrier to accomodate him. He is the only 5 time letterman in history.

He took over 5 college programs, generally bad since they had an opening, and got them all to bowl games by the 2nd year. That was before there was a December clump of 6-6 snoozer bowls.

Yes...I know who Lou Holtz is. I just think it's funny your first two examples were a college coach who has built a program and won a super bowl, a college coach who washed out briefly in the NFL, so you reach for a goddamned 80s flashback whose mumified corpse now spouts giberish on Saturday mornings.

Really knocked it out of the park with that last one.

Carroll was a failed NFL coach before coming to USC. His subsequent NFL success after USC doesn't invalidate the example.
