It may actually be harder to get the top HS coaching jobs in the country. HS coaches get to have lives and those top programs are very highly sought after(there are much less of them then Division 1 football programs).

It seems he left under his own accord to go back to UT. Offense seemed to be better at Bama under him, but I don't know specifics. Just looking stuff over quickly.

Nobody hates running the ball more than Major. I don't think he technically got canned, but he and Saban didn't see eye to eye on offensive philosophy. I think UF fans will end up hating Major, but what do I know.

I am pretty happy with the hire. Mullen would have made me puke.

Looks like FSU fans were thinking Stoops > Mullen > Muschamp > Strong, but part of that is assuming Muschamp brings Applewhite with him, seems people aren't sold on him. Muschamp + Hologrsen would probably be more frightening than Mullen though.

I think Florida fans are going to be happy with this hire. Coach Boom can ****ing recruit, and is a hell of a coach. I don't believe in Applewhite as much as some others, but he'll be okay.

I'm sure there are a few elite guys they could have made a run at. But I like him alot better than some other names that were thrown out there.

I really don't see Dana Holgorsen leaving for another OC job, he absolutely is going to get a decent HC job in the next couple years so just being OC at Florida isn't that large a jump up...
