Shannon had no issue with recruiting. On field play was pretty poor and the QBs he's had have been...blah. Harris isn't bad but his football IQ was terrible.

Gruden rumors to any college pop up every year since his bull **** firing from Tampa. UT bc his MIL lives there and his wife went to school there+ he owns property was a huge one. Gruden is an NFL coach plain and simple. He despises teaching incompetents, which is what he would deal with every year in cfball. NFL or nothing for Gruden.

As an FSU fan, I do not approve of this firing. A guy like Gruden would def. have them back in no time, but I don't know how likely it is. Shannon let way too much S. Fla talent get away which was part of his downfall.

Hasn't Miami's problem lately been that they don't want to shell out big bucks for a premier coach, thus explaining the Shannon hire?
