It's strange. For a conservative institution like Liberty, I could see them being the ones taking a political stand on a coach. But I'd expect their value system would be more along the lines of covering up sexual assault. Freeze's major scandal of "helping young black men earn a fair market wage" doesn't really seem to fit with Liberty's values.

I thought the scandal that got him fired was hitting up escorts while out crootin’? That seems entirely on brand

Mack Brown has hired away Army’s outstanding DC Jay Bateman for the same position at UNC. Tough loss for Army, but Bateman was destined to move on at some point.

Auburn hired the Memphis OC as our new OC. The way things have been going in Auburn lately, this could have gone wayyyyy worse. I’m happy with the hire.

Not clear that he is being hired to do anything other than work with Auburn's less than inspiring group of returning QBs. Gus is going to call the plays.

This smacks of of, "if I'm going to get fired, I'm going to get fired running my plays and my offense."

K-State just hired the North Dakota State HC who won a bunch of FCS Natties. I’m actually quite glad it didn’t go to Bill Snyder’s son, which would have been the height of nepotism since Jr. never ran a program.
