that said, i could get behind this arrangement (until the CFB super league takes form by the end of the decade)

The guy that posted it said it was a joke

Can't wait until the ACC implodes, and the Big-12 becomes a 32 team super conference

I’ve said this before but eventually these conferences are gonna get so big they are gonna have to sort by region somewhat and we might get some sort of setup where it was like in 1999 or something. Just all mega conferences with 4 divisions of the old conferences

going to end up with an approx 28 team super league by the end of the decade

that's the logical endpoint imo

with the non-football sports getting back to a logical regional footprint

My prediction is that we evolve into one all-inclusive conference which ultimately divides itself into multiple divisions which are identical to the 2021 NCAA conferences. It may take a few years, but that's where we're headed.

Looks like Tues - Saturday starting week 7.

I do agree this is a weirdly meh week 1. Technically, instead of both being huge favorites, Georgia should be playing @ Oklahoma which would’ve raised the bar (and indeed the season) considerably i think.

I wish UGA had told the SEC to pound salt on that directive, which I suppose would have meant the SEC telling ESPN to pound salt. The idea that the first of such a matchup should be so valuable under contract that you’d want to prevent a high-stakes kickoff game simply because it’s before your term is the asinine domain of some idiot who should be run over by a bus rather than be allowed to make decisions about college football.

Oh well—you can’t stop progress!

Don't forget Michigan paying UCLA $1.5 to back out of their H&H, and replacing that game with ECU. That would've been a week 1 banger too

It has been a clear march to an NFL jr league with divisions replacing the conferences. The schools will not give up their 3-4 wins against Florida International either. So the schedules will eventually look the same except that schools like Washington State and Rice are excluded from the lions share of the tv money.

This throw seems like one of those Gatorade commercials where they use CGI to defy the laws of physics. He just flicks it 50 yards in the air while being hit.

To be fair to Michigan, this was scheduled when UCLA was winning 3 and 4 games a season. They didn't realize UCLA would be a top 100 team when the game finally rolled around.

Don't get me wrong, week 0 was fun. But I'm getting really excited for Week 1 starting with a couple solid games tomorrow night. LFG. Not sure why, but I have an odd feeling Nebraska goes in and beats Minnesota tomorrow.

Got $900 on Florida ml (+165). Betting Utah without Rising is simply not viable. This is a game where you either bet Florida or stay away.

That should work out fine. It's betting road favorites that has cost me the bulk of my net worth.

Florida finally has a QB that can throw the ball.

Taking them is easy money
