Swamp Kings documentary brought me back to the glory days.

Now I get to watch some bums get walloped by a 3rd string QB in Salt Lake City. Sad times

D would be the new grind of mediums conference

They had 1 more natty in the 00s than the 90s, but glory days will always be Spurrier v. Bowden in my mind.

Spurrier also had them top 13 or better every year in the 90s (and 2 bonus years '00, '01)

I was reading an article about the history of FSU's bad decisions leading up to this spot where they're losing out on $30 million a year to other top programs in the SEC/B1G and apparently as recent as 2001 the ACC was generating more revenue per school than both the B1G and SEC and apparently signed a massive TV deal after the raid of the Big East in the mid 2000s. It all went to **** so quickly. FSU will be about a half billion dollars behind other top schools if they see out this current deal that ends in 2036 (I think).

Does adding Calford and possibly SMU really do anything at all? I guess it's great for the ACC also rans who may not have a landing spot if it blows up as it makes the conference slightly more stable, but the move probably does very little for Clemson, FSU, UNC, etc. Even Virginia I think would find a spot in the B1G, possible State and others.

While proceeding to avoid everything controversial about those teams. What a waste lol. Clear it was made for gators fans and the causal viewer. I mean urban Meyer and Tebow are behind it so you know they aren’t gonna show all the bad stuff

Ahh, that makes me less excited to see it, but I will eventually. Not sure I can stomach 3 hours of fellating Tebow tho.

At least it's good to know Urbs is still butthurt about the "classless" UGA endzone celebration. Apparently the classy way to celebrate in someone's endzone involves your finger and a random bar skank. sogood.gif

The entire thing felt like an Urban Meyer redemption tour video or something. 4 hours of good pr for Urban Meyer to make it seem like he’s a good guy and totally not a piece of ****

I was too young to remember most of Spurrier unfortunately

Really? I was born in 84 and remember most of the 92 season so if you're 87 then you should've remembered the first UF natty and 2nd half of Spurrier's run. Sadly you would've missed the Choke at Doak, the best game between the 2 schools.

Some expert B1G takes before the games begin:

1) If Michigan doesn't win it all this year they probably never will. This is their best roster since 97 with probably the most talented QB in the history of the program. Their schedule is super easy and other legit contenders like Bama and Georgia are breaking in new QBs plus see 2). It doesn't line up better than this.

2) This is actually a rebuilding year for Ohio State. The first one they have had since 2004. They lost the most accurate QB in program history along with two NFL offensive tackles plus a veteran Center. I don't care how many NFL receivers they have. A big drop off at QB protected by a shaky offensive line is gonna be a problem. And their defense is still a mess. They've recruited well on the DL star-wise but it just hasn't panned out and is the main reason why Michigan has straight up bullied them the last 2 years. Most of my life they've recruited talented DBs but they've pivoted away from that strategy and it's been a total nightmare. Whenever they face a decent QB+ they can't cover to save their lives. For the first time since 2004 Ohio State is projected to have at least 3 losses. They're literally drawing dead @Michigan, they're not beating a loaded Penn State team, @ND will be a toss up and they're probably 50-50 to get upset once vs the rest of the field.

3) The Luke Fickell experiment at Wisconsin will be an unmitigated disaster and every big ten fan--especially Michigan fans--know it. You can't run the spread at Wisconsin period.

4) Iowa is winning the West. They damn near did it without a QB last year. Now they have a QB who is a pure winner/elite leader.

5) Mark your calendars for 11/11/23. Michigan @Penn State is the game of the year for the Big Ten.

My username is only 87 cause I was playing poker underage on pokerstars and thought it would be too obvious if I put ‘93 (this was like 14 year old me so obviously pokerstars wouldn’t give a **** what my username was but I thought they would).

So yeah I was born in ‘93, I vaguely remember some blurry pixels on the TV being Florida v FSU but that might just be watching old highlights tbh.

I bet I could go back to the ‘22 mega thread and find that you said the same exact thing about Michigan last year

Well I mean it's not like I was that far off. They did go 13-1. Beat Ohio State, Penn St, MSU, the Big Ten championship game all by more than 3 TDs (an amazing feat that's never happened before and probably will never happen again) and THIS team is better than that team. The defense may be the best in the nation now and JJ was a rookie starter last year. Harbaugh thinks this team will have 20 picks in next year's draft. Autistic people aren't really known for hyperbole.

In case people fact check my impeccable take on Ohio State, I am not counting 2011 against them. That wasn't a rebuilding year. That was a really good team that got ****ed by the ncaa. Tattoogate bs. I don't even count Michigan's victory over them that year. I mean I'm glad it happened but it's the fake-est win in Michigan history.

Bad games where teams **** the bed occasionally happen. That's what makes sports innately and perennially interesting. We threw two pick 6s and fumbled away a sure TD on the goal line and yet still had the ball down 6 with almost a minute left. Play that game 10 times and Michigan wins 8. Other than that lol transitive property.
